"Draco, are you ready to go?" Narcissa asked, walking into his room slowly.
Draco put a few more things into his suitcase, and then turned around to face his mother.
"I'm ready now." He said, grabbing his suitcase off his bed, and rolling it behind him.
Narcissa and Draco walked downstairs together, to the grand fireplace in the living area.
"Lucius, come say goodbye to your son." Narcissa said.
Lucius ignored his wife, and continued to talk to one of his business partners, who was in the living area drinking a glass of fire whiskey.
"Right," Draco said, "I'll be off then." He grabbed a handful of floo powder.
"We'll see you at Christmas." Narcissa said, hugging him quickly and walked away from the fireplace.Draco clutched his suitcase in one hand, and the floo powder in the other. He threw the floo powder to the floor of the fireplace and yelled, "Hogwarts!" The next time he opened his eyes he was standing in the Great Halls large fireplace. He quickly grabbed his suitcase and ushered it into the hands of one of Hogwarts' many House Elf's.
Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley who had also arrived by floo powder decided they'd better take up their bags themselves, until a group of House Elf's took them from their hands. They thanked them, and proceeded to sit at the Gryffindor table waiting for all the other Gryffindors to join them. Draco Malfoy took a seat at the Slytherin table.

The feast was over soon enough, and everyone went to their common rooms to wrap up for the night. Not Harry though, he was going down to visit Hagrid. He was passing Moaning Myrtles bathroom when he heard a quiet sob.
He approached the bathroom entrance quietly, listening. He continued to hear soft sobbing coming from inside. Harry continued to walk slowly into the bathroom. A boy sat sobbing on the floor of the bathroom, elbows on his knees and his head in his hands, sobbing quietly. Harry could've recognized that sleek bleach blonde hair anywhere. Draco Malfoy... crying?
"Are you- are you alright?" Harry whispered.
Draco shot his head up, not knowing Harry had been standing there, and turned his head in the opposite direction quickly, and wiped the tears from his face.
"Why do you care?"
"Well I mean, you're crying so-"
"But you hate me."
"Don't flatter yourself." Harry said, with a little smile.Harry went over and slid down the bathroom wall to the floor next to Draco. Harry noticed the folded up piece of parchment in Draco's hands, a torn envelope on the floor next to him.
"So, what's wrong?" Harry asked.
"Nothing." Draco said.
"Are you sure? You look a little worn."
"Potter, I'm fine." Draco snapped.
Harry threw his hands up in the air defensively.
"Alright, I'm just asking."
They both sat there, silent, looking at the ground in front of them."Why are you still here?" Draco asked.
"You want me to leave?"
"No, just, why are you here, at all? We're not friends, hell not even acquaintances. So, why?"
"There's gotta be some good in you, Malfoy. Not a lot. But some." Harry said. They sat in silence again.
"Did Pansy break up with you or something?" Harry asked.
Draco snorted.
"You think- you think me and Pansy are dating?" He said, laughing somewhat.
"Yeah- that's what everyone thinks-"
"No, we're not dating. She's gay, Potter."
"Oh shoot. I didn't know that."
"She's got a crush on your little friend. The mudblood, Granger."
Harry winced.
"Please don't call her that."
"Sorry, it's a habit." Draco said."Why did we even start hating each other?" Draco asked, looking up at the tall bathroom ceiling.
"I can't really remember." Harry said.
"Me either." Draco whispered.Harry stood up quickly and said, "Alright- well, I'll see you around then." He stuttered awkwardly, starting to walk out of the bathroom.
"Potter, wait!" Draco called.
Harry turned back around.
"We should train for Quidditch or something. Maybe-"
"Sounds fun." Harry said, pushing up his glasses with his pointed finger.
"How about tomorrow?" Draco asked.
"Sure. Meet at the edge of the Forbidden Forest?"
Draco shuddered.
"Scared?" Harry asked, smirking slightly.
"I hate that place," Draco said, "I'm still not over what happened in there during first year."
Harry laughed softly.
"I'll meet you there." Harry said, and then walked out of the bathroom.♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
