Chapter 55

Draco's POV (29 weeks and 1 day)

I wake up on the couch clinging onto Harry in a restricting way because he refused to stay still and sleep last night. I slowly sit up attempting not to wake him.
Examining the room I find it empty "I guess the twins ended up going to their room" I immediately put a hand to my mouth as I realize I said that too loud.
Harry begins to move around and sits up rubbing his eyes in exhaustion. Please be normal, please be normal, pleaseeeee be normal! I don't need another Ron.
He yawns and gives me a cute smile before falling onto the back of the couch. He lets out a startled "Woah" and laughs. I facepalm "damn it" I chuckle to myself.
"How about you go back to sleep" I whisper taking his hand and rubbing my thumb up and down it. He cocks his head to the side and looks at me weirdly.
"And why would I do that Mr," he mutters with all the sass he could muster.
I bite my lip not ready for what the day is going to bring. "It's still really early though," I explain trying everything I can to get him to go back to sleep.
He crosses his arms and shakes his head no closing his eyes tightly. He then peaks at me slowly "welllll wHaT tImE iS It" he asks his voice going up and done.
"Uh well" I quickly glance at the clock behind me "it's still 6 in the morning" I groan but as I go to continue Harry flops face-first onto the couch.
I roll him to the side to see him staring at me with an annoyed expression "I'm trying to sleep" he voice was snarky as I hold my hands up in defense.
I laugh nervously before stepping back to go away "sorry baby". "Wait" he screams and I flinch hoping he didn't wake the whole house up.
I turn around to see him staring at me with confusion. "If I'm your baby you have to sleep with meee" he squeals while moving his arms out from under him to make grabby hands.
"Only for a little bit" I sigh before going to lay down next to him. He shifts around so his head is on my chest and giggles "Night Night Mr." he sighs before all you could hear was his light breathing.
"Night Harry" I mumble, rubbing up and down his back for a minute enjoying the cuddle time while I can. Sadly I know I'm going to have to get up in a minute.
A few minutes after he had fallen asleep I lift Harry off of my chest as slowly as possible and replace myself with a pillow. He lets out a small groan and I freeze "please don't wake up- please don't wake up" I beg under my breath.
His face scrunches up as he curls up into a ball, but stays asleep. I feel a smile spread on my face at how adorable he is and I go for a blanket hung over the back of the other couch.
I move and pull it up to his chin just as he always has it. His face slowly relaxes and a tiny smile appears. I let out a breath of relief before heading to check out Ginny's room. I need to make sure she didn't leave anything or there's nothing in there.

    "Time for breakfasttttt" Ron sings a little too loud for my liking. I tiptoe over to him "shhh Harry is still sleeping" I whisper while putting a hand over his mouth for him to shut up.
    Blaise walks up to us looking in between the both of us.  He opens his mouth to speak and I quickly place my hand over his mouth too. "I swear on Merlin's pants if you wake Harry up I will hex you both" I threaten them which really didn't seem all that good because I had to whisper it.
   It must have worked though because they were now both looking at me with wide eyes and nodding their heads up and down. I release my hands from both of them and Blaise is first to talk. "You seem extra protective of.... his sleep today?" Blaise says but it comes out more like a question.
   "This morning he woke up and he was still acting all weird and I don't want to deal with it, yes he's adorable like this but what if he falls and hurts himself or the baby," I explain silently as Blaise nods his head intently.
  Ron's looking at the kitchen door like he's never going to see it again. "That's all" I mutter under my breath before going back to sitting in a chair next to the couch.
  "Finally silence" I mutter to myself and just as I do one of the twins lets out a yelp and I whip my head around in terror as they both start to fall down the stairs.
   When both make it to the bottom they sit up dazed and confused "well that hurt" they cry in unison. Blaise and Ron come running out front of the kitchen as I sigh "You idiots you need to be qu-" I'm cut off by a rustling behind me "DrAy DrAy" Harry whines through a yawn.
   I turn and walk to him quickly.  He sits up and attempts to find balance but instead just wobbles back and forth. I get to him and squat in front of him on the floor. "Are you hungry?" I ask and he nods his head up and down "Yes pleaseeee" he slurs shooting up from his spot
  Thank Merlin I was there because he started falling forward immediately. I scooped him up and carried him bridal style into the kitchen sitting him in his usual chair.
   Since I had to basically babysit Harry the twins served the food today and it was super fun to watch them limp around since they had fallen down the stairs. As soon as Harry had gotten his plate he squealed scaring the absolute crap out of me.
   He goes for his fork but his arm was so shaky that he couldn't even bring it to his mouth. He drops the fork and looks at me sticking his bottom lip out with sad eyes.
  "Curse your cuteness" I mumble to myself but Blaise and Ron must have heard because they started snickering.
  I glare at them before grabbing his fork and helping him eat. Who needs a child when you have a Harry with medicine and blood loss I silently laugh to myself. I go to take a bite of my own food when Herb bolts up from the table "someone's here" he cheers while running for the door.
  As soon as he leaves the room the chime goes off signaling someone really is here "Woah tHaT sCaReD mE" Harry fumbles with the words .  I get up to check who's here and help Harry out of his seat "sorry love but you have to come with me" I sigh and he crosses his arms letting out a little huff.
   I intertwine our hands and hold on tightly just in case he does fall, as soon as we leave the kitchen the front door is already wide open and there in the doorway stands Molly and Arthur. I look around and don't see Ginny anywhere near them. I let out a breathe of relief  "one minute" I call while taking Harry to the couch.
  "Stay here for a minute," I instruct him kissing his forehead he lets out a little "mhmm" and flops onto his back. I walk back to the door "Herb you can go finish your breakfast" I tell him and he skips back to the kitchen.
   "You may come in," I invite them making room for them to enter. "I'm so sorry whatever we have to do to make it up to you, we will do," Arthur speaks first which really surprised me because he doesn't usually talk much.
   "You did nothing wrong just keep Ginny away from Harry," I warn them taking a glance at Harry who is still laying down playing with the ends of the blanket.
  Molly lets out a sigh "of course... we've taken her wand away from her and... I broke it" Molly tears up rubbing her temple.
   "Well, that's good to know," I take a deep breath running a hand through my hair. I see Molly taking side glances at Harry.  "Would you like to see him?" I ask and her eyes light up. "Yes please that would be nice," she exclaims now full of excitement.
  I walk them over to Harry and he doesn't seem to have noticed us yet.  Even though we are right next to him "Harry you have some guest" I say squatting down to his level on the couch.
  His eyes go wide and he sits up a little too fast just to fall right back down. "Careful love" I whisper with worry while, moving my hand to caress his cheek.
   He turns his head towards us with sad eyes that immediately fill with glee when he sees us.  "HeLlO, mOm," he sings his voice also full of excitement. I turn back to the two "the medicine hasn't fully worn off and he lost lots of blood so he's kinda out of it" I explain.
  Molly puts a hand to her mouth "poor thing we won't stay long then" she sighs and I move out of the way for the two, Arthur goes first. "I'm so sorry about Ginny hopefully we will see you soon good job sticking with us kid" he whispers ruffling Harry's hair. Which made Harry giggle and it put the biggest smile on his face.
  Next was Molly she bent down and kissed his forehead "I love you like my own son always remember that... stay safe" she whispers a tear sliding down her cheek.
   She stands and I hug them both "why don't you go to the kitchen and say hi to your sons first" I point to the room. They both nod, and make their way towards the kitchen.
   I scoot Harry over a bit and sit on the edge of the couch.  "You're so loved don't you ever forget that" I whisper leaning down to kiss him.  Once I do he kisses back immediately a little rougher than I expected.
   When I pull back he has a huge smile on his face. I tilt my head to the side and give him a confused look. Propping himself up on his elbows "We should have sex" he whispers like he's telling me some sort of secret.
  I feel my face go red as much as I'd like that I can't I feel like I'd be taking advantage of him.  I let out a sad sigh and then chuckle to myself.
  Don't be a pervert Draco...  
"Not now babe," I say hating every minute of it. I'm such a pervert.... "pwease" he begs giving me puppy dog eyes.
I stand straight up and throw my arms over my head "I'm out" and walk away. It didn't really work well because I had to immediately go back to take care of him.
