"so, let me get this straight, you are also trying to expose Murkoff?" Daniel said to Miles as they sat in his apartment Caramel, stayed in Miles's lap and he stroked her soft fur calming down. "Well, yes you could say that." Miles cracked a small grin Daniel smiled, "that's great kiddo!" He boomed patting Miles head with his big hand Miles hummed a bit sipping his coffee "but, I'm warning ya keep it on the low, and when ya leave the house keep the papers safe in a locked drawer." He warned he didn't want Murkoff to find Miles and kill him. Miles nodded "thanks, it means a lot." Miles hasn't spoken or had human interaction with others for a long time only Caramel. "Np kiddo." Daniel gave Miles his card "if ya need help to let me know" Miles walked Daniel to the door, "thanks again" miles called as Daniel took the elevator down Daniel smiled, but once he got into the elevator it changed to a frown he let out a heavy sigh "I just hope that kid won't be next on their list"
Miles carefully made dinner. He was way too scared to read the next case because it seemed that Every time he read a case he would see visions of the detectives who died or physically feel it. "I should take a break from the crime scenes and focus on other information maybe, even re-read that email from that Park guy." A small smile appeared on his face as he sat down at his desk. He did a research of when Mount Massive was made "hm, so all females were moved because of 'Phantom pregnancies' strange." He kept reading there definitely was something to hide as he went to read more Caramel put her fluffy paws on his leg signaling she was hungry "awww" he cooed carrying his floofy baby to the kitchen Caramel was like a therapy pet to him. After he fed Caramel, he watered his plants and freshened up for some reason he was happy instead of being a sad mess, "something tells me today will be a good day for once" he grabbed his blunts and walked off to go smoke on his balcony.
