I looked up at the large sign that read 'Police' my hands trembled slightly as I debated on whether I should enter or not. What happened last night was a blur, After I had blurted out "Don't you wanna know how I felt..?" he kinda just...left? I had looked down at the ground for a split second and when I looked back up he was just..gone. This morning when I had woken up I tried to convince myself that it was just a dream or a weird sleep-deprived hallucination or..something, but both my bruised throat and nose told me otherwise.

I let out a soft sigh, in an attempt to ease my nerves, then stepped forward and opened the door. The inside of the police station looked like any other, large police sticker in the center, followed by a large glass window where a police officer sat behind talking to a frantic woman. I walked in the woman was breathing heavily as if out of breath "She's been missing since last night-!" She wept "-I thought she was at her friend's bu-" I furrowed my brows as the woman continued the explanation, 'What if..I did imagine it..' I thought looking down at the ground and clenching my fist 'If I did then I would be wasting thier time and...'  I sighed and spun around, opening the door once more 'I just tripped and fell and that's what busted my nose...That's all..-!' I gasped as my face bumped against a broad chest "Woah, you good?" asked a deep honeyed voice, I looked up at a uniformed officer "O-oh.. I'm fine, sorry." I said embarrassedly. I stepped back quickly "Did you need something?" he asked sweetly, I looked up him fighting with myself 'Damn it [Reader] just tell him...If you don't then...Other people could probably get hurt...' I looked away from the officer, a bittersweet smile on my face, "Oh uh..no..no I'm fine, sorry." I said side stepping the officer to make my way out, "-Were you attacked?" He asked turning around to face me once more "W-what?" I studdered

The officer pointed at his nose before replying "Your nose and throat" He stated, I gasped and covered my neck with my hand "O-oh, I just...fell", "And your neck?" He asked, I furrowed my brows in nervousness "It, it's fine..I'm fine." I said quickly turning around to leave only to be stopped midway once more "What's your name-" He began, releasing my wrist "In case you decide to come back." He finished, I look up at him, "It's [Reader] [LastName]!" I unintentionally spat before quickly running off. I let out a shaky breath, 'So pathetic..'  I thought while making my way to my job at the cafe.

I huffed as the last customer left and Jonathan finally flipped the sign over to 'Closed'  I walked to the back to grab all the cleaning supplies that I needed to clean off the tables, "[Reader], you can take care of the rest right?" asked Jonathan, I turned back towards him, a bucket of cleaning supplies in hand "What?" I questioned, "Yeah, My moms still feeling pretty sick so I gotta head home early to make sure she's okay, you'll be fine though right?" He asked once more, a feeling of dread and nervousness washed over me "S-she's still feeling sick?" I asked, "Hm...Yeah," He said, smiling back at me as he slipped off his apron and hung it up on one of the backroom hooks. I looked down at the cleaning supplies, fidgeting with the handle I held onto 'Bullshit liar..', "O-okay...I hope she feels better soon." I said looking back up at Jonathan with a half-assed smile on my [Thin/Thick] lips "Yep, will do." He said quickly making his way out. Once I heard the sound of the bell ringing and door closing, I dropped my shoulders and sighed disappointedly 'Yep.. so pathetic.' I told myself as I made my way out the backroom and towards the entrance to clean the tables.
