What Has Happened To Her?

Chapter 1, Part 2

I climb out of my car and travel around the car to my Mum's side, then Lacie's side to let them out. Michael grabs our wrists and heads for the doors. I bang my head on the doorframe on the way in considering I'm so tall. My mum just wanders behind, pretending she isn't with us. Jeez, are we that embarrassing?
Once we walk in mum walks over to another table and says "I'm sitting here for lunch. Sit wherever you want. Here's the money to order your foods." Someone else was already at the table where she was wandering off to. She smiled widely at her and greeted her. Must've been her friend.

We all order. I got the Kentucky Fried Chicken with large portion of chips(if you're American you would say fries), we decided to share the chips between us as we're not people who eat junk food all of the time. We have the most random conversations
Whilst we wait for our food to arrive. Lacie scrolls trough Twitter and see what people have posted. Every time she sees a post she likes she just goes "O.M.G FAV! Oh and an RT too.." I swear she's said it like 200 times.
"Hey. Where's the bathrooms?" (RESTROOMS IF YOURE AMERICAN😂) Lacie says, still scrolling on her phone. I just point but I don't think she noticed. Michael grabbed her chin and faced it towards me. I point again in the same direction and she gives a small nod and looks back down onto her phone as she walks in the direction I pointed to. She kept on bumping into people's tables because she isn't looking where she's going.

When Lacie gets back from the little girls room she puts her phone away and starts to talk to Michael.

After 10 minutes our food comes. They had to make more chips so we had to wait.
"Dinner. Is. Served." The man says, pausing inbetween each word. when he pauses he serves one order. Why he acts posh at a takeaway eat-in I don't know.
"Luke! Do you mind!" He mumbles while he's chomping his chicken leg.
"What?"
"Eat with your mouth closed?" Until then Lacie shuts Michael's jaw and continues to eat. But Michael just gives her this concerned look and a grin with squealed eyes. Suddenly Mum walks over with BBQ sauce all around her mouth. She takes a seat inbetween me and Lacie.
"Hey, I was at the other table over there with Laticia's Mum. You know like she moved to Portugal with her Dad?"
I slam my knife and fork on the plate, making a big clash noise. I start to shake, my eyes start to get darker. I stutter a little when I speak. "Uh.. E-excuse me for a second." Immediately, I push my chair back and power walk to the front doors.

As I get outside, my breathing starts getting heavier, I run my hands through my stuck-up hair and keep my head down, walking up and down. The panic she gave me when she talked about Laticia. I'd do anything to get her back. Anything. I'd turn back time and tell her to have a good time, instead of yelling at her for what I have done to her and that's how she treated me. I should've never let her go.

-Michael's P.O.V-

"Did.. Did I say something?" Luke's Mum says. I give a small nod, trying to make it not obvious. I stand and grab Lacia's hand. We rush to the front doors.
Once we get outside we look around for Luke. He's nowhere to be found. I turn around and see Luke on the floor, head in knees, leaning against the front window. Why is he so upset about Laticia? What did she do to him to make him feel this way? Now surely, they couldn't have gone THAT far in the relationship.

Lacie mutters curses under her breath, panicking on what to do considering she's never dealt with anyone like this before.
"Luke! Luke you alright there?" I say, kneeling down to the floor.
Luke shakes his head no.
"Why are you so upset about Laticia? She's gone now, moved on. Isn't it time you do too?"
Luke wide eyes me with those now very dark blue eyes, full of tears.
"Michael, do you realise how much I loved her? How that every night we would gather at my house and watch a movie? For 51 full weeks? If only there was one more week that would be one full year. My relationship was just like how Maria was to you." My heart starts rushing, but luckily I can control it. I don't break to tears, but her name flows in my mind.
"I've moved on now, from Maria. I loved her so much and I still do now."
Lacie clears her throat, "ehem, right HERE?"
"Sorry, Lacie." I mutter, turning to her. Making things worse, Luke's Mum now arrives outside and starts asking questions and more questions to Luke. All of a sudden, Luke stand up, wipes his jeans getting all the gravel and dirt off, and walks over to his car. slamming the door, Luke buckles up and puts the radio on full blast. we can hear it over from the entrance. Is this him basically telling us he wants us to get in?

-Luke's P.O.V-

After dropping Lacie and Michael off at Michael's Mum's house, I decide to drive me and my Mum home. as soon as I get in, and make sure my mum is in too, I lock the front door and head upstairs to my room. Slamming the door, like I have done a couple times to other doors this evening, I turn on some music.

I drift away into a sleep while my music keeps on playing.

-Luke's Mum's P.O.V-

Luke's music roars from upstairs. As always I have to waste 2 minutes of my life every day by walking up the stairs, tell him to turn it down and walk back down them. Then just to do it again.

Once I get to the top of the staircase I walk down the hallway and reach Luke's room. I burst in and shout, "Luke, turn this down!" But suddenly I notice he's sleeping, so I reach over by his desk and disconnect his speakers from his phone. I sit on the edge of the bed and kiss Luke's forehead. "Night baby." I whisper, and leave the room.

HEY EVERYONE

There's no bold writing in this chapter because I've used my phone. I can only use bold/italics on my laptop but my laptop is broken at the moment. whenever it is fixed I will start editing the stories and inserting italics for songs and colds for change of P.O.V's and everything.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I thought it was quite fun updating this part of the story, creating melodrama that really is no point of. it'll get better when..
