She was so beautiful, so passionate and so innocent. To me, she was an angel of beauty and love. She was someone I couldn't afford to lose. She was my everything. She was my girl.

It all began in middle school. I was in 7th grade and she was in 8th grade. My best friend Leslie introduced her to me during a school dance she invited me to. It was awkward at first. This girl, her name was Angelica. When I first saw her she looked so happy and so free. She danced as if today were her last. It happened so out of the blue. She saw me and pulled me in for a dance. I was shocked and very shy but all she did was dance.

Hours go by, Days go by. Weeks go by.
Every hour, every day, every week, all she did was hug me for hours without letting go to the point where I only felt her heat beat. I asked many times why she hugged me so much. All she ever did was respond with a smile.

Months go by, years go by. I was 24 and she was 25 years old. I had earned enough money to fly us to Paris. I've always wanted to travel to Paris. Its such a romantic city. The perfect city to propose to a lover. I had bought a ring, a diamond heart-shaped ring. She would definitely say yes when I propose to her.

The night, reigned by stars. We were in front of the Eiffel Tower. I told her to close her eyes and to make a wish. Of course, she did without hesitation. I pulled out the ring, laid on my knee, and popped the question. She quickly opened her eyes. They sparkled with tears and joy. She instantly replied with a yes. A simple answer can make a man the happiest man in the world.

5 years later we bought a house near Santa Monica. Angelica loved it. She loved the idea of living near the ocean. She had a love for the ocean as if she was spiritually connected to water. We were the happiest couple in the neighborhood. We threw parties and family dinners almost every week. Our lives were just too perfect. This was a dream come true.

It was a Sunday afternoon. Me and Angelica went on a trip to Malibu. There we sat on some rocks and watched the sun set together. She hugged me like she always did, as if today were her last day.

She placed my hand on her stomach. I felt a kick. She looked at me with a tear streaming down her angelic face. I questioned why she was crying. All she ever did was respond with a smile. She closed her eyes and slowly whispered the words "I love you". Her arms became weak. Her tears faded away. She lay there in my arms lifeless. Death had taken her away from me too soon.

My whole life turned upside down. I had lost my wife and our child. I had lost my future, my happiness, my Angelica.

She was so beautiful, so passionate and so innocent. To me, she was an angel of beauty and love. She was someone I couldn't afford to lose. She was my everything. She was my girl, to have and to hold....
