Chapter 9: Daniel's Crush

The next day @ school, Jay sat alone during lunch. Hoping that Matt and Connor didn't find him. Keeping his head down, he ate his lunch. Then, he heard someone sit across from him.

Jay: DON'T HIT ME!! *covers face*

Daniel: I won't, I'm not that kind of person.

Jay: Oh..hey it's you. What's your name, we were too busy cleaning me off to figure it out.

Daniel: I'm Daniel, I'm a junior.

Jay: I'm a Jay, and I'm a sophomore.

Daniel: Ah, lower classmen *wiggles eyebrows*.

Jay: *blushes* S-So do you wanna hang out later?

Daniel: Sure, we'll take my car. Where do you wanna go? You know what, it'll be my surprise.

Jay: Ok..wait! I can't..I have to tutor Connor...

Daniel: That dickhead of a jock? Pfft, you can skip a day.

Jay: Hmmm...ok I guess so..

**AFTER SCHOOL (DANIEL'S POV)**

I jumped at the chance when Jay asked me to hang out. I liked him ever since I saw him his 1st day of high school. I was just too petrified to go up to him and ask him out. And when I found out that he played for my team, that made the fear of asking him out worse.

Jay walked up to my locker with a cute smile on his face. Such a cute smile. I could see him talking, but I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear him.

Jay: *shakes hand in front of Daniel's face* Hello! Daniel? You ready to go?

Daniel: Huh? Oh..yeah!
