If someone were to ask someone how they'd prefer to die, people would probably respond by being poisoned or even hanged. To you, it was different. The thought of death has never really sacred you, actually, it seemed like something you've always waited for. You've never really seen the purpose of living so death didn't seem that bad.

It was a simple way of going out, really, it was. You wouldn't feel the agonizing pain of your heart dying on you, you wouldn't feel the hellfire of how your brain would slowly shut down, and you wouldn't even feel your lungs die down either. You wouldn't feel a single thing at all.

Kamado Y/N wanted to die in her sleep.

Despite the other countless ways of death, that was the way that had always seemed pleasing to you. You wondered why people wanted to die with such agony but others have their preferences anyways so who were you to judge?

You laid in bed, countless thoughts scattering through your mind, your eyes shut as your chest heaved unevenly. You always found yourself thinking about it, in the bathroom, in class, and even when you're in the middle of a hook-up on some occasions.

You sigh, pushing all the negative thoughts away, trying to look on the positive as you sit up from your place, the thick blanket falling to your thighs as you rub your tired eyes with a yawn. A knock interrupts your train of thought, your eyes focusing towards the door before you see your step-brother, Tanjiro.

You and Tanjiro don't necessarily have the best relationship. You've despised him for as long as you've known him and he felt the same. You hated his attitude and he hated yours which is why you two had set up some rules. One of them being: Never enter each other's room without permission.

You look at him, eyes lazy as you tilt your head to the side and quirked a brow. "What are you doing here?" You asked, obviously not in the mood to speak with him.

"Your dad wants to see you," He responded, tone flat before he's turning on his heel and exiting your room, leaving as soon as he came, slamming the door shut on his way which made you roll your eyes at the rather childish act.

You lick your dried lips, stretching for a short moment before you crawl towards the side of the bed and put your slippers on, leaving your room with a yawn. You make your way towards your father's study, hands in the confinements of your shorts' pockets, your footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. The house was always so quiet due to the fact your father was usually out of the house but you didn't really mind. Your step-mother though was... Not really on the Earth's surface anymore.

You reach the study faster than expected, reaching for the doorknob and opening the door, walking in obnoxiously with a tired sigh. "You called?" You asked, brow raised as you stare at your father.

It took a second to register but once you see a familiar black haired male there, your heart instantly sinks as you look back at your father, brow raised in confusion to mask the fear you felt as your he gestured for you to sit down.

"What's this about?" You ask, voice cracking as your father leans in his seat, hands intertwining with each other as he looks at you, eyes calm even though you knew that beyond that unbothered demeanor was a hellfire that can't be tamed.
