The next few weeks were... odd. Natalie wasn't really talking to us. All of the sudden she became "best" friends with Alenia and Michele. Michele was in our algebra class even though she was a freshmen. Natalie stopped sitting by us and started sitting with Alenia and Michele. This went on for weeks. Natalie isn't one to express her feeling very well, but we could tell something was up. Her attitude would change daily. The weird thing was that it was like a pattern. On Mondays she would talk to us. On Tuesday we were neglected. Wednesdays were okay till P.E. Our P.E. coach would ask us to find a partner Marcie would try to be nice and ask Natalie or Alenia if they wanted to be partners but they would say no and be partners together. So Marcie would ask Becca. We felt like we had done something to offend them. But we just continued on like nothing was wrong. A few weeks went on and we couldn't take it anymore. Bethany asked Natalie in algebra one day "Hey is everything okay. Lately I've been feeling like there's some sort of tension between us." Natalie just said "Nope everything is fine." We knew something was wrong, but she wouldn't tell us. We felt lost and confused. The algebra teacher noticed the tension also, and pulled Bethany out of study hall one day to talk to her about it. She told her to inter mingle with them. We didn't know how. They would sit next each other. Some days if we were fast enough we could sit down right next to Natalie. But from the outside our trying wasn't trying hard enough.
