CODY’S POVI have just about finished packing. One last pair of shoes and about three more jeans. I’m so ready. The day I graduated would always be the day I flew to New York City. I don’t care that I missed my ceremony. I would rather be on a plane to my future home than making a speech in front of classmates I would probably never see again. I zip up my last suitcase, ready to drive to the airport, and leave Redgeman, Virginia forever.
The plane finally lands and the chaos of trying to get off a plane is terrible. Let alone in the busiest city in the world. My luggage damaged, exhausted from only 2 hours of sleep due to excitement, so hungry I would eat anything, all of the hardships of regular travel all seems to pass behind me as I make my way to the ferry, (The plane ride to NJ was less expensive so...) I can see the skyline. I can see Times Square. Empire State. Statue of Liberty. Freedom.
