Do You Trust Me? (Skrael x OC Oneshot)

The Talk

Summary: After the events of Wizards/Split Love  Skrael and Frost decide to redefine their relationship after Frost has all her memories. Including the ones before her time in Darby. Recommended reading AFTER the end of Split Love.

As great as it was that they got the Genesis Seals, they still need Nari to complete their plan.  However, there was another factor eating away at Skrael's mind; Frost. He first met her centuries ago as Khione. But so much time has passed that he almost didn't recognize her. They needed to talk immediately! Frost seems to have read his mind because she grabbed his hand that wasn't holding his staff and dragged him outside while Bellroc watched him and Frost walk back outside the cave they took refuge in after Hisirdoux destroyed their castle. They found a mossy pond with the moon high in the sky. It was awkward... Neither of them knowing when or how to speak about this. It was Frost that spoke first but with a question;

"Do you trust me?" That question echoed in Skrael's head as he fully registered what she asked. He wasn't sure how to answer that question. "Well?"

"I'm not sure." He said sadly. She may have nodded understandably but he was unsure if it was real or not.

"How about we fix that, Skrael?" He was unsure until she grabbed his hand and put it over her heart. "I know there is a part of me still missing. But I don't want it back because I know what it is: my light." His eyebrows raised because he just realized that too.  Not having her light, all the hero parts of her, has made her choose to love him over her friends, the Guardians of Arcadia. She chose to do this but there is still a lot about her he hasn't known for centuries. "I knew that if I had it, I would've helped that wizard instead of you, and honestly, I'm glad I didn't. Because I wouldn't be here... with you."

"What do I call you now?" He asked as he pulled her close. His face was centimeters away from her lips.

"Caitlin." And she closed the gap between them. They melted together just as mortals do. It felt wonderful. Her arms around the neck inside his cloak and his around her waist. But breathing was required and they pulled away. They then pulled each other into a hug. They stayed like that for a few more minutes till Caitlin broke the silence. "We better head back or Bellroc will worry." They shared a kiss one last time before heading back in each other's arms.
