Wooyoung helped Yunho home that day. The doctors examined him and gave him a green light to be discharged.
Yunho was relieved to be home as being in the hospital was suffocating. But what lingers in his mind was specific soul. A sad soul.
Mingi.
Where was he? He's gone soon after Wooyoung came into the room. And he never spoke since then.
Yunho brushes off his thoughts and went into the bathroom for a hot shower. He really needed it to clear his mind.
He sighs out in relaxation as the steamy water hits his body. He loved taking hot showers, it never fails to calm him.
After cleaning himself, he walked out of the bathroom with only a pair of boxers on. Without paying attention, he plopped himself onto his fluffy bed. However, Yunho felt his body crashing onto something that was not his bed.
He let out a yelp and ran up from his bed, only to realize a figure laying on his bed.
It was none other than the boy who dominated his thoughts for the whole day.
"Mingi? What are you doing here?" Yunho whisper shouts as he quickly went to search for clothes to wear.
Mingi huffed out and sat up. He rubbed his abdomen that Yunho had previously crashed on and pouted.
He showed Yunho his sad puppy eyes and pointed to his abdomen as if telling Yunho that he was hurt.
"You're the one that slept on my bed, I didn't even know you were there." Yunho sassed as he hugged his arms infront of his chest.
Mingi's pout deepened and he huffed out louder, this time indicating that he was angry.
Yunho melted slightly at the boy. He didn't even know why but Mingi had successfully stolen a soft spot from his heart.
He took his time to scan Mingi, only to realize that he's dirty from head to toe. His eyes widen when he saw his bed covered in what looks like mud.
"Mingi!! Go take a shower! You're so dirty!" Yunho quickly pulled Mingi up from his bed. He grabbed an extra towel from his closet and pushed Mingi into the bathroom.
Mingi looked at him in confusion but complied, shrugging his shoulders before walking into the bathroom.
Yunho sent him a glare before heading to change his bedsheet.
"Yunho.." The sudden deep voice from Mingi caused Yunho to flinch.
"What's wrong?" Yunho asked as he walked towards the bathroom.
His eyes widen once again after looking into the bathroom.
Mingi was naked, totally naked. His abs were so defined and toned, making Yunho gulp at the sight. He quickly looked down only to realize Mingi wasn't wearing any underwear.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" Yunho shouts and ran out of the bathroom. His face blushing a bright red. He quickly patted his chest to calm his breath and racing heartbeat.
"Are you okay?" Mingi asked as he walked out of the bathroom, confused and worried.
"I'm fine I'm fine." Yunho covered his eyes as he turn around to face Mingi. His face still blushing.
"What's wrong? You need anything?" Yunho asked.
"It's been years since I've showered, and I don't know how to use your shower head. Can you help me?" Mingi asked so innocently yet guiltily as he tilts his head.
Yunho took a deep breath in disbelief as he looked up at the ceiling. He wasnt mentally prepared for this.
"Okay okay, come on."
They both walk into the bathroom with Mingi following behind. He looked like a lost puppy making Yunho's heart melt once again.
Yunho sat the younger in the bath tub and turned on the shower.
"Is it too hot?" Yunho asked as he watch Mingi's face scrunch up.
Mingi furrowed his brows and nodded. He tried to avoid the hot water but fails miserably as Yunho was splashing it onto him.
Yunho giggled slightly and turned down the temperature. And it was only then Mingi calmed down and sat in the tub obediently, waiting for Yunho to clean him.
Yunho grabbed the hair shampoo and started rubbing it into Mingi's scalp. Although he was dirty from head to toe, Mingi's hair was surprisingly fluffy.
Mingi's tensed shoulder could be seen to loosened as he takes in the comfortable sensation of his hair being washed.
After rinsing his hair, Yunho started to wash his body.
He rubbed Mingi's body fully with shampoo, his fingers grazing across Mingi's abs, and he swore he could use it as a clothes washer. But what caught his eyes were the healing scars throughout his body. It wasn't a small amount, it was all around his body. There wasn't a skin on him that wasn't scarred, and it didn't fail to rile up Yunho's curiosity.
After washing his body, he looked up at the obedient younger and their eyes connected.
Yunho once again caught a glimpse of sadness from Mingi's eyes, but this time, it wasn't as bad as before. It was more lively, his eyes looked more alive.
Mingi waved his palm infront of Yunho's face, catching his attention. He didn't even realize he was staring at Mingi the whole time.
Yunho coughed out awkwardly and started to rinse him.
"There, all done." Yunho sighs out as he sat up. He handed the towel to Mingi, signalling him to dry himself. But Mingi just stared at him in confusion, not knowing what to do.
Yunho sighed for the Nth time and started to dry his body.
Yunho swore he saw Mingi giggle although there were no sounds. His face were scrunched up adorably as he squirmed underneath Yunho's touch.
He could feel his heart warming up slightly at this strange soul that he just newly met.
He handed Mingi some of his clothes and luckily Mingi was near his size and his clothes fit perfectly on him.
He scanned the now fresh and cleaned up boy that was seated on his bed, staring up at him with his infamous innocent eyes.
"I'm sure you have no where to go, am I right?" Yunho says as stood infront of Mingi, eyes not leaving the ghost.
Mingi shook his head, giving Yunho a silly smile. And Yunho could feel his heart skipping a beat at the adorableness.
He looked more handsome after being cleaned, making Yunho gulped internally.
"You can stay here then, do you need sleep? Do ghosts sleep?" Yunho asked as he walked to turn off the lights.
Mingi nodded. "Yes, we sleep as much as humans."
"Okay then, you can sleep here. I'll sleep on the couch." Yunho says as he started walking out of the bedroom.
But he was stopped when he felt a tug on his wrist.
He turned to face Mingi who was now staring at him with his puppy eyes, as if saying not to leave him.
"You can't sleep alone?" Yunho teased, though he was mainly surprised.
Mingi shook his head. He looked down in embarrassment, a slight blush creeping on his cheeks.
Yunho giggled and pulled Mingi towards his bed.
"Come, let's sleep." Mingi followed Yunho under the blankets. He gently wrapped his arms around Yunho's waist, taking in the gentle honeysuckle scent from the older.
Mingi felt safe with Yunho, he didn't knew why but he adored him. He wanted to stay longer with Yunho eventhough they were practically strangers. Oh how he wished he was still alive so that he can hug him everyday like this. And to introduce himself to Yunho as a human being.
