5 broken and abused 12 year old girls walked into the orphanage, flannel and ankle long tights and jeans, in the middle of summer. They wore it to cover the forever lasting scars and bruises left behind by angry mothers and fathers.
Woman decided to take them in, and they were shone to their room by the groggy workers, as it was 4:00 am. The young children had been through a lot that night. But they tucked away their pain in the pockets of their flannels and jeans and continued walking.
The room seemed forever happy, with bight orange walls and yellow closet doors, red blankets and bed sheets with the same popping red pillow case. The small night stands were yellow and the small lamps that stood on top of the wooden tables.
The 3 woman walked out and shut the door, leaving the lamps on. The window offered a small sliver of the fire ball we call the sun. The sky around it was pink, orange, yellow, blue and black, late stars occasionally looming the black part of the sky.
The 5 girls climbed into bed carefully, as they minded the bruises still on the path of recovery. They turned off the laps and laid, so they began faking snores, and shuffling occasionally in an extremely convincing manner.
All except for one. She laid all the same, but stared at the cream ceiling. She thought back to the escape they made 5 hours in the past.
Ray's POV
I ran downstairs as I grabbed the home phone I had been previously banned from using. I dialed Zero's phone number to make sure everyone was at her house, and I listened to half a ring until I heard Zero's soft voice. "Hi, are you ok? Everyone is here, we are running down to your place. We have been for about 30 minutes, we won't be too long."
"Yeah, ok. Alright, I'm grabbing food and stuff now. See you later." With that I hung up on the call, stuffing food to last us a good while in my bag that had held clothes that fit us all and now lots of snacks to last us at least a week. I packed entertainment and my parents' phones, they each had 2 and I had my own. I planted the home phone into my bag and put on my combat boots. My black leggings fit comfortably as I straitened out my blue, purple and white flannel over my purple tank top. I looked at a recent bruise but didn't think, I walked outside and waited a couple minutes before I saw Zero's black hair pulled back into a messy bun as always. It bounced like a rabbit as her pale freckled face came into view as well. You could see her piercing dark brown eyes glare through the large black glasses. She wore a black, blue and green flannel, a black tank top under. White tights and black combats boots covered her feet and legs. Following her was Victoria, tall with bright green eyes, her brown hair twisted into a braid. Her tan skin hidden under a shirt and gray tights, as well as bright blue tennis shoes. Sydney had straight dry light brown hair in a high pony tail, reaching her shoulder blade, bright blue eyes and pale skin concealed with a gray seater, white tank top, blue jeans and black+ white converse. Sofi had black converse, red, black and gray flannel, and black jeans while her brown and almost red hair whipped in the air. It was the same length as Sydney's. She had dark brown eyes focused on my home. They reached me and we ran straight to the nearest orphanage, about 3 miles away. My bag clunked annoyingly the whole time.
We reached our destination and walked inside.
