Kennedy sighed to herself as she stood in the folly. She was meeting Patrick. She sighed to herself as she looked at her watch. She groaned as she looked to see him as he walked over to her. "You're late. I said I was only leaving Emilie with my mum for half an hour," Kennedy said.

Patrick nodded. "I know. I'm sorry. I couldn't get away from Maxine. I wanted to talk to you about Emilie," he said.

Kennedy rolled her eyes and nodded. "I'm aware. Why do you think I'm here?" She said as she sat down.

Patrick nodded. He stood tall above Kennedy. "I want to be her father. But I have to tell Maxine. But it's not easy."

"What? To admit you cheated with me?

"Yes. And the fact that she wants to try for a baby. And I don't know if I can," Patrick said as Kennedy nodded.

Kennedy knew that it bothered her. But she didn't know why. She didn't know why the fact Patrick and Maxine were going to try for a baby bothered her. She and Patrick still had sexual chemistry. But she knew it was because of their past. And she knew it was because they had a daughter together. And that's all it was.

Kennedy sighed to herself as she got back home. She smiled as she saw Sandy with Emilie. She picked up her daughter and grinned as she kissed the top of her head.

Sandy looked over and smiled. "Did you run your errand? You were gone longer than you thought?" Sandy asked.

Kennedy smiled and nodded. "I know. I know I was. I just didn't realise it would take me longer. Has she been good?" She asked as she put her daughter in the baby walker.

Sandy grinned. "Good was gold. She reminds me of you at that age," Sandy said as Kennedy smiled.

Kennedy knew she hated how she was lying to her family about Patrick being Emilie's father. And that she couldn't keep it a secret forever. But she knew she couldn't admit it and deal with the drama of it all.

Kennedy walked through the village and smiled as she saw Briana. "Hey. Did you sort it with Patrick?" Briana asked.

Kennedy nodded and smiled. "I agreed to let him be her dad. She needs him in her life. But I don't trust him completely. He told me that him and Maxine are trying for a baby. And I'm just scared. As I know Maxine and I know that she might try and take Emilie and play mummy when she finds out the truth. But if that does happen, then I will run as I'm her mother and there is no way I will sit back and let Maxine try and play mummy to my little girl," Kennedy said.

Briana looked at her and smiled. "I know. I know that you're scared. But you don't need to worry. It will be okay. You're her mum and you're a good mum. Emilie isn't going anywhere," she said as she pulled her best friend into a hug.

Kennedy looked at her and smiled hoping that she was right. But Kennedy had no idea that once Maxine found out about her fling with Patrick, that she would set her sights on Emilie.
