SEASON 1, EPISODE 1 (The Not So Great Outdoors: Part One)

"Yo, we're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host, Chris McLean, dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television, right now!" Chris says dramatically from where he stands on the dock where in a few moments, campers will begin arriving.

"Here's the deal, twenty-three campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers." Chris says, moving up the dock from where he stood. "Every three days, one team will either win a reward, or watch one of their team members walk down the dock of shame, take a rise on the loser boat," Chris pauses to chuckle. "And leave Total Drama Island, for good."

Chris moves to the campfire where ten stumps in two rows of five can be seen behind him. "Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow." Chris says, looking at the camera as he takes a marshmallow off of a stick and eats it, waiting until his mouth is empty before he continues. "In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune. Which, let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week." Chris pauses.

"To survive, they'll have to battle black flies. Grizzly bears. Disgusting camp food! And each other. Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the island." Chris grins. "Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here right now on . . . Total Drama Island."

"Welcome back to Total Drama Island. All right, time to meet our first eleven campers. We told them they'd all be staying at a five star resort, so if they seem a little T.O.ed, that's probably why." Chris says as the first boat drops off the first camper and leaves.

"Beth, what's up?" Chris asks as a girl wearing pink pants, a green shirt with a brighter, yellow-green vest over it, braces, and black glasses, runs to Chris and pulls him into a hug, startling the man.

"It's so incredulous to meet you!" she says happily before getting off of him and landing back on her feet. "Wow, you're much shorter in real life." she notes before waving at the camera with a smile.

"Uh, thanks." Chris says, uncomfortable, as another boat leaves, dropping off the second camper, a teen boy holding two dufflebags. "D.J." Chris says brightly.

"Yo, Chris McLean. How's it going?" D.J. asks with a high five. "Hey, you sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub at?"

"Yo, dawg, this is it. Camp Wawanakwa." Chris says as D.J. picks up his bags from where he had dropped them at his feet, and makes his way past Chris, shaking his head.

"Humph. Looked a lot different on the application form." D.J. mutters to himself as a third boat drops off it's passenger and leaves as quickly as it appeared.

"Hey, Gwen." Chris says, the camera moving to show a shot of a girl with blue and black hair along with a complete blue and black outfit who walks over to Chris, holding her bags.

"You mean, we're staying here?" Gwen asks incredulously, seeing the old campground behind him.

"No." she looks relieved for a moment, but Chris continues. "You're staying here. My crib is an Airstream with A.C. that-a-way." Chris points to his right.

"I did not sign up for this." Gwen says, getting in his face.

"Actually, you did." he holds up a very lengthy contract everyone signed to even get their application looked at. She takes it wordlessly, rips it, and drops the ripped pieces into the water.
