The bright flashing lights were all around me blurring my vision while the loud sound of the cars beeping was stuck in my hears, making me overwhelmed.
In front of me there was a tablet that had "Holmes Chapel" written on it.
I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing.
I was lost, lost in a big city.
This wasn't my hometown, at least not how I remember it.
It only passed three years since I've gone, although that didn't stop Home Chapel a small city metamorphose into a big city full of tall buildings and modern technology.
I felt tears rushing down my face. I knew going to Liverpool with my parents would destroy everything that I used to know. Unfortunately I was a minor so I had to follow them everywhere they went.
Four weeks ago when my mom told me we were going back to Holmes Chapel I felt like I was the happiest person on Hearth, I would never expect coming back and finding this. This is wrong, this wasn't the place where I was born, where I learned everything that I know and made everything that makes me myself.
How could a place change so fast in such a short time? I couldn't believe in it, it was impossible, mom must have drive us to the wrong place but with the same name.
My Holmes Chapel wasn't like this, it was a nice place full of nature and peace where could run miles and miles without seeing not even a single car. It made me feel good and relaxed when I was too nervous, it calmed me on my gray days and most importantly it made me feel free.
When I was walking through the infinite green fields I felt unique, I felt like nothing could stop me not even the small voice on my head saying I was worthless and insane.
In Liverpool I had nothing at all, I was in constant struggle in our small apartment, the only escape that I had were the stories in the books. Even though I love reading I did not want to go back to the situation I was back there.
As I sobbed lightly, I felt a warm hand against my right shoulder.
"It's time to go." My mom whispered.
I pulled my cardigan's sleeves out and wiped the cold tears with them. "Yeah... We better go." I said.
I turned around to face our car and walked in its direction.
For once, I didn't look back.
