Harry opened his eyes slowly. He yawned, and recalled that he had fell asleep on the floor. He sat up, and then realized that he wasn't on the floor anymore. He was in bed. Sleepwalking? He had never sleepwalked before. Harry lifted his hand to rub his eyes, but then he saw a white bandage covering his hand. He glanced down and saw that both of his hands were covered in bandages. How he didn't notice it right away?
Suddenly Harry saw a movement in the corner of his eye. He turned to look and saw Lou holding a water bottle and a pizza box. Harry felt numb. Most of his anger was long gone, and he was really tired. He didn't even know how long he was in sleep, but it didn't matter. Harry was more than happy that he was able to be calm. Anger just simply didn't suit him. And it was exhausting.
"You carried me", Harry said when he realized that he hadn't sleepwalked, and furrowed his eyebrows when he heard his own voice. He sounded terrible. Harry turned his eyes on Lou.
"I did", Lou admitted.
"And cleaned my hands", Harry added.
"I did."
"Why would you do that?" Harry asked, leaning towards the water bottle because his throat was killing him. He took a sip and closed his eyes, trying not to moan because it felt so good to drink something.
Lou shrugged. "I need you alive?" he said, but it was more like a question than a statement.
Harry furrowed his eyebrows, and stared at Lou. The guy was so weird and Harry couldn't understand him. Okay, he needed Harry alive, but it wasn't like he was dying on the floor? So Lou wasn't that convincing.
"Was that a question?" Harry asked.
"You're quite talkative today, aren't you?"
"I'm lonely", Harry pointed out, and hugged his pillow. "Have you already contacted my parents?"
For once, it seemed like Harry had managed to caught Lou off guard. There's first time for everything, Harry thought, a tiny bit gleeful.
"Have I what?" Lou asked, staring at Harry with his eyes slightly widened.
So he doesn't know everything. Harry was quite proud of himself because he had managed to ask something Lou hadn't expect him to ask. Harry yawned and drank more before saying, "Well I assume you want money, why else would you have kidnapped me? So have you contacted them? Are they worried?" Harry's heart started beating faster. He missed his family so much. He missed his home, bed, everything.
Lou didn't answer right away, but finally he said, "Nobody's missing you, Harry", and started walking towards the door.
And, which, ouch. It hurt. But Harry had kind of expected it. He pushed the pain away, and stared at Lou. "Do you have family?" Harry blurted, desperate to make Lou stay. Harry was missing home, therefore he couldn't stand the loneliness. Lou stopped in place, but didn't turn or answer, so Harry pushed it. "You should talk to me, really. Tell me something — anything."
Slowly Lou turned to look at Harry. "Talk to yourself?"
Harry shook his head. "You're not hearing me. I will literally go crazy if you don't socialize with me", Harry practically begged, but he didn't care, "I can't stand being within these four walls!"
"Open the window?" Lou suggested, biting his lip.
Harry noticed how Lou tried not to laugh. He was momentarily taken aback but soon realized what Lou had said. "Lame joke, jerk", Harry said dryly, glancing at the window. Can it even be called a window?
Lou shrugged and turned to walk to the door, but Harry, without thinking, jumped out of the bed and grabbed Lou's hand. Lou hadn't expected it, so soon enough Harry found himself in a stranglehold.
