Bitter and Sweet

It was a rough Friday from work, good thing it ended well. To give myself a boost after all the tiring work, I decided to go to my favorite coffee shop. Kaya lang puno ng mga ibang nagta-trabaho at college student. But this won't stop me getting my favorite coffee and slice of cake. I decided to order it and find a vacant seat. There I found a gorgeous lady, sitting alone and typing on her laptop. She looks busy and frustrated in what she is doing. Well, here goes nothing.

"Miss?" Tawag pansin ko sa kaniya pero mukhang hindi niya ako narinig. I tapped on her shoulder and then she looked at me surprised.

"Ay hala sorry!" She hurriedly take off her airpods that I didn't noticed. "Bakit po, Kuya?" She asked me very cutely.

"May I sit with you?" I asked her politely trying not to scare her.

"Sige lang po," she said it softly and I think she took my breathe away. I mentally shook my mind trying to stop myself look dumb. I seated in front of her where its the only chair available .

"Anong tinatapos mong gawain? School works?" I want to talk to her. I think I'm pussy-whipped already. Ang bilis ko naman ata magkagusto. Sh*t, is this what you call love at first sight?

"Oo, nakakabaliw na nga ang college eh. Parang taga torture yung mga professor ng mga college student. Maaga ata ako kukunin ni San Pedro," nangingiyak na niyang sabi.

"Why is she cute?"

"Huh?" F*CK! I SAID IT OUT LOUD!

"Ah! Wala!" Taranta kong sabi at tinawanan niya ako ng tinawanan.

It all started there. I know from the very start that what we have won't stop. After that late afternoon, we keep on seeing each other every Friday in our favorite cafe. Yes, both of us loves coffee and it's our favorite spot. We found out that there's a lot of qualities and interest that we have in common. We even date in different places. I can feel it already, she is starting to like me so I have to level things up.

I started giving hints by giving her favorite flowers, buying her favorite coffee with love notes, giving her small gift, etc. Then, finally I decided to tell her.

We were in our usual spot in the coffee shop. Unlike on our other dates, this is different because I decided to tell her my feelings. I feel like my hands are cold and sweaty. Parang nababakla na ako. I think she's sensing my nervousness.

"Para kang tanga," I know she is harsh and playful in her words. I love every bit of her and her flaws is part of it. She pinched both of my cheeks, "Umayos ka nga bakit parang kabado ka?"

"Tsk," I rolled my eyes on her just to ease myself.

"Ewan ko sayo, Alexis Cedric," pag-susungit niya sakin. I love it whenever she says my name, it makes my heart beat fast. Okay lang kung tawagin ako ng iba na bakla kung dahil sa kaniya.

We saw a cake approaching us. This is why I am nervous. When the cake was in front of her, she got shocked on what she read.
