Chapter 7: The House of the Witch

After running for about a good ten minutes, we found this house it was wet as if it had rained and it felt good to be there. It seemed that we were being pulled toward the house, some more than others." Ah, finally a decent place to rest " Sigan said with relief in his voice, " Wait, sigan don't!!! " i yelled as he touched the door knob " what? why should we-" as soon as he touched the knob it flashed with a blue aura and wrapped around his hand, the flash was so bright it nearly blinded me and annabeth, we quickly looked up to see him holding his hand trying not to scream in pain. Just as we were getting up to him he screamed, a huge gust of wind knocked us back to the trees and nearly killed annabeth. She flew back and hit one tree with her face, fell limp, then landed at the base of another. Well i countered the wind by grabbing onto the lush green grass that just appeared, wait it just appeared? i thought still clinging to it, then it became wet, i was slipping.

He was still screaming and the aura was almost to his waste, i looked down at the... roots i was grabbing onto? OK now i'm REALLY confused, maybe this is just a dream, no it's too real to be a dream maybe... no there's no way, she died a long time ago. Sigan stopped screaming, the aura had wrapped around all his body and i could see his soul being pulled out, then the flash happened again except this time it wasn't bright to my eyes. Then i heard an old evil laugh and a woman appear out of no where, it was her, she had taken the soul of my friend. I looked up at her and she looked at me i asked " how are you still alive? " she looked at me with anger " urrrrrrrra!! i was never dead!!! i was imprisoned for four centuries!!! by that foul dragon until he became weak and i broke the seal, just because someone disappears from the world doesn't mean their dead!!! just like your friend here, he's not of this world right now, but he's not dead his heart still beats inside that body. " " why do you do this to people?!? they never tried to hurt you!! it was the dragons in the north!!" i protested trying to stall to think of a plan. " But it was your people who flushed me out of your country because of a stupid ACCIDENT!!" " What accident?" i replied trying to stall. " Well i might as well tell you since it will die with you, i was preforming a spell on the kings pet to heal him because of a broken hip bone. Well halfway through the spell the animal freaked out, it ran around the courtyard and i was going to cast a spell to put him to sleep but that stupid beast wouldn't stop moving!!! i shot and it missed and hit the king, that spell was meant for animals only which means if that spell put him to sleep for four days, which it would, then the king would be out for two weeks.

They threw me in terrible prisons and no trial, they just immediately convicted me and banished me. since that day i sworn my revenge on the king and his subjects, and you guys will do just fi-" before she could finish Anna flew up and bashed her in the face with a tree branch. She then flew back and i guess that stopped her concentration or something because Sigans soul returned to him, but he was still under her control. "Urg!!! How dare you attack me!! If you want to play that way, then I guess I'll just attack you!!!!" She raised Sigans body and drew his sword, then his eyes lit up red and she stopped controlling him and directed her attention to Anna. "Aaron!!" She screamed at me waiting for me to say something, "NO MERCY" I tell her, "ha!! Then I will show no mercy!!!!" The witch screamed as she attacked Anna. Sigan attacked me and almost took my arm off but thankfully i dodged and he fell down on the ground all confused, i drew my sword and waited for a second strike but he just stood there. What i didn't realize is that he was actually behind me if i didn't hear footsteps behind me i would've been killed right then and there, i spun around and deflected his strike then ran around him to try and strike a blow on his back. Again he just stood there, i spun around to find him almost on top of me. I swung my sword to chest level and took the impact flying through his...body? The Sigan that just stood there was a decoy and we flew straight through it, it disappeared into a trillion little bubbles that sizzled as they broke apart.

I landed in a mud puddle not too far from a vine trap that seemed to move in my direction, sigan was still on top of me pushing me down into the mud, i was slowly sinking. I tried to talk to him "Sigan!! please stop! i'm your friend! overpower the witch!!! please!! Anna! quick get Sigan off me before i go under!!" I heard an explosion before my ears were stuffed with mud.

Anna's P.O.V

I heard Aaron yell to me "get Sigan off!!" so i took out solar grenades and closed my eyes as i threw them on the ground. They exploded with a blinding light that stunned the witch for a few minutes, i ran over to where they were but i was too late Aaron had went under the mud. At that moment i thought that this whole journey was over, my whole life of being free was about to end. The witch had regained her sight and was about to fling a poison blast right at me, my life was over... but for some reason i felt a lifting sensation as if i was flying. i wasn't flying but i was in a green bubble and so was Sigan, but the witch said no mercy wait but the witch isn't even looking at me she was looking at someone above and behind me. As i looked up I saw Aaron he was floating in mid air! but his eyes were glowing red and he was muscular it's as if when he was in the mud he worked out non-stop for weeks! Suddenly the bubble that was around me disappeared and i couldn't move, the witch was throwing magic blasts at him like crazy but he was deflecting them like they were nothing. Before she could throw another one he trusted his fist forward in her direction and the earth wrapped her up in a cocoon and she was looking him straight in the eye, he said this is a ancient dragons voice: " Morgana! *thunder crashed* you have caused terror in the people's hearts for to long!! the act you did to have this punishment bestowed on you was an accident, their judgement was wrong and it was wrong to punish you in such a way. Although it was wrong of you to attack the innocent people of the kingdom, you actions now cannot be forgiven you will be locked away by myself and the two dragon sages!!!" two dragons that were grayish white flew behind him, they all looked up and roared and a glowing ball started to emerge out of each of their mouths. The ground was shakeing furiously and my legs were falling out from underneath me, finally a ball was floating above each of them but the immediatly flew and clashed crateing a wave that blew all of us back into the trees.

I looked up and saw a red swirling portal that was black in the middle, the witch rose up and was relesed only to be sucked into the portal and never to be seen again. Her house was also sucked into the portal and then the portal blew up sending clouds of energy in every direction then faded away. The two dragons flew away the flaping of their wings growing dimmer as they got farther away, and Aaron slowly lowered to the ground until he was on it. The ball around him dissapered and he started to fall, i ran up and caught him at the last second. Holding him in my arms i stood up and ran as far and fast as i could to the nearest clinic or hospital, although we'd proboly get arrested i needed to get him to a hospital!! After minutes of running through woods he started to wake up, i looked down and saw him trying to open his eyes and i decided to stop for the night.

Aaron's P.O.V

I don't remember much except being forced in to mud then it was all blury, next thing i know i wake up with Annas hand on my chest and she's fast asleep. She looked very uncomfterble well i know i was because of the way i woke up, I gathered up leaves and anything that's soft. i cleared out a spot and placed the leaves and everything there then gently picked her up, she tossed and moaned the kind of moan that you make when you first wake up. "Aaron? w-what are you doing?" "shhhhh...go back to sleep." i set her down on the leaves and she looked up at me,smiled, then said " thank....you..." as she fell asleep. I smiled then layed down on the grass spot i woke up on and fell asleep.

I woke up on the leave pile i made and i saw Anna in the grass part i was supposed to be on, she looked so innocent sleeping on the grass i was about to wake her up when an arrow flew past may face, nearly sliceing through my lip. I turned and went for my sword...that appearently wasn't in my sheath, so i grabbed Anna's and prepared for the worst. An arrow flew at my chest and bounced off my chestplate, i ran towards them and was only greeted with more arrows. As they were wizing past my head and body i ran up and stabbed an archer,stealing his bow, and let al hail loose on the other archer's. What i didn't notice was that i was fighting against the Imperial Army of the Roman Empire, i thought it was all over when i was greeted by four knights decked out in iron armour. I ran for Anna to try to save her but when i got there they had her in chains and a crossbow to her head, she looked up at me and said worried "Aaron!!! please! get them off of me! their going to kill me!!" i looked at the commanding officer and he said " if you lay down your arms we won't kill her but you will be taken into custody and tried for the death of five archers, sound like a deal?" i protested " but they attacked me!" he yelled at me " BUT YOU WERE TRESPASSING ON MILITARY GROUNDS!!! YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO ATTACK THEM EVEN IF THEY ATTACKED YOU!!!!" i was fourious but i couldn't let them hurt Anna so i agreed "yes, i agree, just don't hurt her!" They let her go and she ran to me and hugged me, then said " why would you let them take you!! i may never see you again!!" "i know i will see you again, trust me" i said as they took me away in chains.
