Evelyn's p.o.v.
" Could I have your attention, please? " Professor McGonagall's stern voice echoed through the classroom, snapping everyone from their conversations, even me. I was, as usual, sitting with either one of my friends. And currently, it's Hermione who's sitting next to me. Astoria and Victoria sat at the table that was directly in front of our table, and Susan next to Ernie at the back of the class. Mouthfoul and Ghoul sat at the table next to us, much to my horror. And you guessed it, we kept shooting each other dirty looks now and then, even after Professor McGonagall's interruption.
" Right. Now, today, we will be transforming animals into water goblets. " Professor McGonagall announced, before pointing her wand at a bird on her table. " Like so, one, two, three, Vera Verto. " She tapped the bird three times, and the bird instantly turns into a water goblets, causing many oohs and ahs to be made in the class room.
" Now it's your turn. Who would like to go first? " Professor McGonagall stepped away from her front desk and made a bee line towards the table Harry and Ron sat. " Mr. Weasley. One, two three Vera Verto. "
Ron nodded his head and cleared his throat like every time he wanted to perform a spell, looking at Scabbers, who layed lazily on Ron's stack of books, before tapping his tapped wand at the grey rat three times, saying, " Vera Verto! "
A green spark erupted from where the wand was snapped and Scabbers turned into a half rodent, half goblet kind of thing. It was shaped of a small goblet, but the furs and tail we're still visible, and you could even hear mouse squeakings from it.
Ron picked the mouse-goblet up, with a look that says ' what the hell happened to the spell? '.
" The wand needs replacing, Mr. Weasley. " Professor McGonagall stated, before turning to me, " Ah! Miss Potter. Try it now. One, two, three, Vera Verto. "
Redwig, as if on cue, flew out of her already unlocked cage, and landed steadily on my table, waiting for me to perform the spell.
I rolled my eyes, holding out my wand, tapping the red owl three times, before mumbling, " Vera Verto. "
Redwig immediately melted into a brilliant red goblet, causing another badge of oohs and ahs to be made in the classroom again.
" Perfect performance, Miss Potter. Ten points to Gryffindor. " Professor McGonagall smiled encouragingly.
My eyes immediately locked with a pair of glaring silver ones, with a victorious smirk plastered broadly on my face.
Hermione suddenly raised her arms high in the air.
" Yes, Miss Granger? "
" Professor, I was wondering if you could tell us about the Chamber of Secrets. " Hermione asked, with feign innocent in her voice.
" Seriously, Mione, what does that have anything relating with the spell we're currently mastering?! " I hissed lowly, so that only Hermione was able to hear it.
" Just shut up, and watch me. " Hermione hissed back.
All the students, even Mouthfoul, looked at Professor McGonagall expectingly, waiting for an answer.
Professor McGonagall pushed her glasses slightly up her nose, before sighing, " Very well. You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was found over a thousand years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. " Professor McGonagall started walking round and round around all the tables. " Now, three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. One did not. "
