Hello, everyone! Welcome to the 2020 Warrior Awards, a contest dedicated to nominating Warrior Cats fanfictions in a chance to win a plethora of prizes, as well as a special award sticker for those who win. We strive to find the hidden gems within the widespread Warriors community, and we hope to achieve more popularity for the best fanfictions through this annual contest.

Guidelines

1. Your story must be a Warriors fanfiction

2. It must be in English only

3. You can nominate one book per category

4. There will be THREE winners by the end of the contest

5. To enter the contest you must be following our account

6. To be eligible your work must be one of your own, neither commissioned, plagiarized, nor another user's story

7.  The code is your favorite tv show.

8. Inappropriate themes are determined specifically by the judges, but any sexual concepts will result in an instant disqualification

9.  Each submission requires a separate form

10. Your story must have been updated at least once this year

11.  We will only move the awards forward if we get 20+ entries

12. Add #warriorcatawards2020 to the book(s) you're entering

13.  Novels and short stories do not need to be completed to be eligible, but one-shots do

14.  The minimum amount of chapters is 5!

15.  Novels with over twenty-five chapters will only be read up to the specified length

16.  The contest will last from from August 22, 2020 to September 22, 2020. Forms entered after the deadline will not be considered

Categories

• One-shots (stories completed with only one chapter)

• Short stories (stories completed with ten or less chapters)

• Novels (stories with eleven or more chapters)

Judging Criteria

All criteria will be judged on a 1-10 scale, 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest. The three highest scores will receive the winning prizes

- Highest possible score is 80
- Lowest possible score is 8

Cover—how appealing is your cover? Does it attract readers with aestheticism? Is it clear and easy to read?

Blurb—does your blurb draw the reader in? Is it simple, allowing the point to come across with ease?

Organization—how organized is your story? Does it follow a structured path that is easy for the reader to follow?

Originality—how original is your story? Does it reflect a work unique to the author, or does it mirror that of cliches present in many other fanfictions?

Prose—how grammatically correct is your story? Is the syntax, diction, spelling, and punctuation accurate and understandable?

Creativity—how creative is your story? Does it strike interest with the reader and draw them in with fantastical worlds built upon artistic expression? Or does the work leave the reader bored and wishing for more than what's been given?

Characterization—how realistic are your characters? Do they bring something new and fresh to the table? Do they strike interest with readers, marred by flaws that make them real? Or do they fall flat and appear colorless due to a lack of characterization by the author?

Themes—are the themes of your story impactful to the audience? Do they inspire or urge the reader to do something in life by offering lessons given by the characters? Or do they leave a disconnect to the reader because a lack of themes present in the work?
