CHAPTER - 1

It was a morning like every other morning. The weather was better than average but everything else remained as always. Brandon had once again taken too long getting ready, causing Mitch to get pissed off and do what he always does. Warren was scrambling to find his hat and at the last minute announces he has not yet brushed his teeth.

I was suckin' up the coffee and trying to keep some form of order while staying as close to on time as possible. Fact is this same routine has been going on for years and I am starting to think I'd miss it, heaven forbid it were to ever change.

Today we are about to start a new job in the city and although it's just another job, there is always that feeling of excitement for the first day or two. Once we get deeper into them, they always end up  feeling like work but let's be real... that's why they're called jobs.

The contract stipulated travel time and expenses which included the airline tickets, so we were on the clock from the time we left the shop. We were going to the big city to customize a rock stars penthouse and we're traveling light. Any tools we'd need would be rented and the crew was hired locally by the general contractor.

We were retained to oversee the construction of my design, see to it that every detail was given utmost attention and assure that nothing was overlooked. It's what we had become famous for since our early work with customizing cars. We've proved over the years we have to be involved every inch of the way. It's how we are able to create the smallest of hand crafted original custom touches that take the finished product to a level far beyond that of anyone's expectations. It's all part of what separates us from anyone else in the World.

Once the builds actually start it's almost as if each project actually takes on a life of it's own. It all started over a decade ago with our first design a rollin' tribute to AC/DC and slowly took off from there.

Arrangements were made for us to arrive the day before we were to start, giving us time to both settle in to our Hotel suites as well as meet with the client for dinner to discuss the project one last time before beginning.

It's always been my style even in the early days to spend time with the client, in their own surroundings. It's always given me one more opportunity to get a better feel for what they are all about. This is where I get much of my inspiration for the finer details evident in every design.

In this case, none of us had yet met with the client face to face. All discussions to date were either through his staff, email or Skype. The boys and I were pumped because this evenings dinner meeting was to be on the clients yacht that we were told earlier, may in fact prove to be our next project.

Our client was very well connected and lets just say without getting into great detail, our rooms came complete. Arrangements were made for anything we wanted including a couple of sexy gals for each of us, instructed to keep us smiling. I'm serious... "just keep us smiling." They all told us later that night. How can anyone top simple instructions like that? You never heard any of us complain, and that's a fact.

We were introduced to our escorts on arrival by this absolutely gorgeous gal named Shar, that seemed to be in charge of everything. This girl was good at what she did, and it was obvious she had done her homework. I mean our favorite drink was in the bars along with some quality bud for Christ sakes, and the fact that both Lemon Hart as well as Island Bud are not readily available where we were, well let's just say... very impressive.

Even the gals she had pre-arranged were not only deadly, but dead on accurate to each of our personal tastes. As if all of this was not enough the hotel room closets were full of fancy clothes, of course all our correct sizes. It was easy to see why our employer had her on his staff, shit I wanted her myself.
