Sitting on the lavished hospital bed with her daughter. She grasped hold of her tiny insignificant hands, locking them in her own adult hands.

Unity's mother silver eyes seem red and her nose is a crimson pink.. As wet droplets stained her mother's newly bought dress..

Her face painted with sadness. As she tries to compose herself..

Weakly Unity forces a limp smile.

Dark bags lay under his eyes. Which temporarily stayed open..

Unity
"Why didn't you tell me..?"

Her voice cracked by still it sent a confused message to her Mother..

Mother
"What do you mean sweetie?"

With her other free hand she goes to pat her daughters bald head..

But is caught off guard when her Daughter roughly jerks her hand free from her own. Holding her mother's wrist forcing her to a halt..

Unity's Mother's sighs, taking her hand away and placing it on the soft fabric of the sheets..

Her face was puzzled.. Suddenly Unity reaches for her Mother's stomach area. Placing her hand on it..

"I was gonna have a sibling..?"

Despite her mother's stomach still flat.. She knew..

This caused her Mother's throat to hurt, as if she could shatter into a million pieces beyond repair..

There's a long silence before her mother speaks again..

Mother
"I was drunk honey, and because you probably wouldn't even live to..-"

After realizing what she'd almost said. Guilt absorbed her.

Unity knows her Mother never meant to upset her so she brushes it off with a smile..

Unity spreads her skinny arms out gesturing for embrace of a hug. Which her Mother's obeys to.
