THE REALM OF the Fae Folk and Forest-Dwellers appeared to captivate Georgia rather than paralyse her with fear. Though I could not blame her —we had emerged from a concealed cave off of the edge of an enchanted wood. Willow and oak trees towered above, and small blossom fairies danced between them.

Thank the World-Weavers we had not appeared in front of Faeries or Elves.

Georgia appeared to have forgotten about the last half an hour because she ran to twirl amongst the winged creatures of magic without hesitation.

I started. "Georgia, no —"

I was afraid that she would be scratched or swarmed; because I had seen it before.

The creatures were indeed uneasy around her —but upon discovering that she was of no threat by flying in her face and receiving no violent reaction, the fairies laughed and began to dance with her.

Tension was released from my muscles.

I breathed deeply, taking in the surroundings. There was the familiar scent of pine, while honey and lavender wafted between; an emission from the fairies. The sunlight was sparse through the foliage where we were not in the clearing, indicating low visibility. I glanced upwards. At least the stars still graced the sky —desperate to compete with the biggest and closest sun.
