Anna tossed and turned in her sleep toremented by memories of her past. She held in her arms the bleeding body of her dead lover, teal poison dripping from her chin. Anna woke screaming, cold sweat dripping down her forhead. However it wasnt Sandra she had dreamed of but Natasha. The girl was haunting her mind with her icy blue eyes and elequent features that reninded her so much if the lover she had lost nearly a century ago. She had to do something or thise icy orbs were going to destroy her mind.

.......

Natasha collapsed onto the couch her thoughts racing with questions concerning Anna and her mysterious Sandra. Nat couldnt believe the jealousy she felt about her. It was consuming 95% of her brain functions since Anna had muttered her name. It kept her up for the rest of the night, taunting her with glimpses of a smiling and blushing Anna.

.....

Nat glanced behind her, the eyes of Mark and Annie on her at all times. One's filled with a sadness and a longing and the other's hungry and hateful. It made her shiver, knowing both parties wanted to get her alone. In the back of her mind twin fanasties played, one of love and warmth. The other of pain, suffering and death at the claws of a deadly immortal. Which she feared more however was still questionable. Perhaps having a gun would make them more tolerable, she mused spacing out.

A slight bump on her shoulder caused her to stir from her unintentional spacing. She looked up into the grey eyes of Anna, who looked sad, despite the fake smile plastered on her lips. "Hey... um i-its lunch... do you.. do you wanna go grab a bi- I mean get something to eat." She seemed so awkward and nervous, Nat almost let out a giggle at how cute it was. This badass in the back of class could be so cute and sweet when others werent watching.

Nat started to pack up her bag, contimplating her answer, as Anna looked down at her shoes, waiting for the other girl. "Do you promise that we'll go off campus?" Anna took a step back. She was willing to leave the school with her? Goosebumps rose on her skin and she swallowed hard as she tried to recollect her mind. "You're okay with being alone with me?" Annie asked tentatively squeezing the straps of her bag. Natasha stood coming to a little below eye level with her. "I want some answers. Maybe you can give them to me. Besides its a half day today and I can't be here any longer." She looked out the window and rubbed the back of her neck. Anna looked worried for a minute. "Please Annie..." Anna smiles, for real this time, and pulled her keys from her pocket. "Wait by my bike I'll be there soon."

.....

Natasha stood next to Anna's bike and scrolled through her music. Minutes ticked by when Anna came running out of the school, a helmet in each hand. She was slightly out of breath and held out the red helmet. " Ready?" She got on her motorcycle and put on her dark helmet, Nat climbing on behind her. They took off at high speed as downtown grew closer. They pulled up outside a fancy resturant and she stepped off her motorcycle, unzipping her jacket to reveal a fancy button up and vest. A purple tie was loosely tied abiut her neck. Nat had to admit that she looked down right goregous. Anna fixed her tie and extended her hand. "May I escort you Natasha." Nat blushed and took her hand. "This is a date isnt it?" Annie chuckled and slipped into a Romanian accent, her fangs showing in her smile. "Only if you wish it, my dear." Nat rolled her eyes and let herself be lead inside trying to hide her blush from the stunning vampiress.

They sat down at a table in the back after Anna flashed an ID, which made the hostess's eyes go wide and quickly escort them past a line of waiting people. Nat eyed her surroundings, trying to slow her racing heart as she felt Anna looking at her. Her cheeks turned red. "So umm... " Nat got a lump in her throat. Had she really agreed to this? Being alone with a vampire when for years she had been so careful to never become secluded with any creature of the night. Something had gone completely wrong in her brain to even consider what she was currently doing.

Anna said something and snapped her out of her trance. "So you wanted to ask me some questions?" Anna's eyes were filled with contempt and a hint of longing. Natasha moved her glass around in the tabke a little, pondering her first question. "How old are you?" Her answer came with out hesitation as if she knew thatd be her first question. "I'm over five hundred years old. The vampiric aging process has been quite kind to me." Anna took a sip of a thick, red liquid. "And hiw old, might you be?" Natasha gulp trying to fight the urge to answer. "Twenty-two. I faked my records to gwt into school. Why the hell dont you look like yiur in your forties and for that matter why the hell doesnt the sun make your flesh burn like other vampres?" Anna didnt answer but her eyes flashed a deep crimson. "As I said the vampiric aging process has been quite kind to me as for the sun thing that is a topic I woukd rather leave for another time." When she finished speaking her eyes return to their lovely gray hue.
Anna sat calmly as more questions were lauched at her. Who her family was, why they had come to town, the reason she seemed ti rarely carry a blood supply with her, more questions about her resistance to sunlight. She answered the majority, seeing no reason to keep anythibg except her blood hidden. Then it came. "What happened to Sandra?" Anna's heart stopped. She finished off her glass and set in the table, finger circling the rim. Qhen she spoke her voice was low and full of greif and sorrow.
"It was a warm autumn afternoon. Her and I had gone out to sit beneath the oak tree just outside the castle grounds. It was the one place we coukd act like lovers instead of friends lest my Uncle Dracula would have me whipped and her killed. It was beneath that tree that I sung to her for the last time. A man came riding up the hill, clearly looking for trouble as he wore a hood that hid his face. He didnt even step down fron his horse..." Anna's hands had begun to shakw and teal tears leaked from her eyes. "Before either of us could process what was happening his sword had gone through Sandra's chest. I-I... I tried to give her my blood but...." Anna stopped sobbing into her hand. Natasha leaned across the table and took her hand. "You dont have to say anymore." Anna looked at her the teal staining her cheeks. She could feel Nat's heartbeat and blushed relizing how soothing the sound was to her. Natasha squeezed her hand. "What song did you sing to her?" Anna started muttering the lyrics under her breath.
"D-Deep in the m-meadow, u-under the willow
A b-bed of grass, a s-soft gr-green p-pillow
Lay d-down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise.

Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.

Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.

Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.

Badadadada...

Here is the place where I love you.

Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.

Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you."

Both girl's were in tears now. Natasha had never imagined her singing voice to be quite so beautiful. They had forgotten they were in a resturaunt or even in the same universe as any one else. Staring inti each others eyes Natsha leaned across the table and kissed the vampiress passionatly.
