After Alexander became close with Washington he, Lafayette, Laurens and Mulligan all got higher status'. Also, all of them where in aide de camp, so things where going to be a lot easier.
One better too, the group had been invited to The Winters Ball as plus ones of Washington. Lafayette had never been invited to a Ball before - being a French orphan of course.
Hercules and Marquis where chatting near the food, Alexander was talking with two women and God knows where John was.
"TWO WOMEN AT ONCE? GET IN THERE ALEX!" Hercules exclaimed, pointing over to Alexander. One of the women giggled while the other shook her head and walked away.
Marquis spun his head around to see John dancing with a woman in a yellow dress. She was beautiful. She had Caramel skin and flowing chocolate hair that stuck out wherever it could. She had a few freckles - not as many as John though. Her dress. It showed off her curves in an amazing fashion.
Lafayette was staring in silence before Alexander came over and spoke up. "I see a certain Frenchman's got his eyes on the forbidden Schuyler, aye?" He said.
"The forbidden what?"
"You can't tell me you've never heard of the schuyler sisters. Look; the girls in pink and blue are the older two, Angelica and Eliza. They're sweet - and super hot. The other is Peggy. No one really likes her."
Lafayette slumped his shoulders slightly. 'Why wouldn't people like her? She's stunning.' He thought to himself.

Soon enough, the music stopped and Laurens retreated back to his friend group, bowing to Peggy as he left. Peggy curtsied in response and went back to her sisters, still not noticing Lafayette's stares. "Hey, Lafayette, go over to her. Don't just throw away your shot." Laurens laughed, pushing Lafayette a bit.
Laurens was right. Lafayette started to strut over to her. Suddenly--
"Pardon me, I wish to make a toast." Ah yes.
Washington ruined the moment.
Everyone lifted their glasses.
"A toast to the Schuyler family, for holding this wonderful ball. Thank you all." Washington continued. Lafayette looked back to the Schuyler sisters. They had somehow moved to the stage with their parents.
"Hm. Maybe next time." Lafayette thought, raising his glass.
