"Helllloooo?! Are you awake?" A voice asked.
I slowly opened my eyes.
"Where am I? Dead?" I asked.
"Well, yes, but at the same time, you're alive." He chuckled.
I looked at him confused, considering I was still half assed unconscious.
"Anyways demon! Welcome to Angolia City! You are the first demon here! Which don't expect me to help you when you're looked down upon by the rest of the angels here. I am Alister, a part of the Angolia City welcome committee, and unfortunately I have to even welcome in demon-scum like yourself. But other than that con, my job is great!" He introduced himself.
"Wow, thanks for the great welcoming." I said sarcastically.
"And my name isn't "Demon" or "Demon-scum," it's Addy." I said.
"Don't know Don't care, and who would care for demon-scum such as yourself." Alister said.
I was about to lose my shit. This was gonna be an even bigger hellhole than when it was just Nolan.
"Well then, I suppose you're all good to go! Cya on the flip side." Alister laughed and flew off.
"Well… if I could double die… I totally would." I sighed.
I looked around.
"Angolia City… The City of Angels. And I'm the only fucking demon here?! What did I do to even be considered a sinner?!" I shouted at myself.
"So, if you didn't commit a serious crime on the surface, then your labeled a sinner for several other reasons, such as homosexuality, witchcraft, lust, and yeah, pretty much sins that aren't illegal on the surface. Geez, you stupid demon, you are unlucky, the only demon here. That'll hurt your pride won't it?!" She mocked.
"What pride did I have left to begin with… this isn't how I envisioned death… if I knew this was the turn out, I would have actually put up a fight with my murderer. But no… that didn't happen." I said, blank, and empty.
"That just makes you the fool then, have fun with no friends." She shoved me and walked off.
They wanted me in sheer hell is all. I could tell… if it were that simple… I'm guessing what Alister didn't tell me is the real reason I'm in Angolia City… I guess maybe hell is cram packed with real sinners, true brutes who murdered, raped, robbed, and yeah, where me… homosexuality is apparently the sin here too… what god makes these decisions… why is it a sin all of a sudden? I felt the tears welding up, I regret allowing him to kill me. It wasn't as bad of a hellhole as this is. I began walking down the street, I could already assume no one would let me rent out an apartment or buy a house here, so… I would have to get used to sleeping on the streets every night. I heard whispers from everyone on the street. I wanted to hide my head in shame. I probably have to refer to thievery just to eat… once again… discrimination that I'm not protected from. I found me an alley, secluded, and perfect. I entered the dark area, with buildings towering above me, it was an ally with a dead end, it was perfect I guess, it had a wall I could lay up against. And maybe even try to find myself at peace.
