"will you be my boyfriend?"
jeno stood still, trying to comprehend the words that left jaemin's mouth.
"w-what?"
"do you want to date each other? can i call you my boyfriend, can we go on dates with each other, can i treat you like the only one that matters, can i show you all of the love in the world—"
jaemin's was cut off with jeno laughing softly at the pink-haired male rambling to control his nerves.
"yes, i'll be your boyfriend and yes we can call each other that, we can go on dates, you can treat me like i'm the only one that matters and you can show me all of the love in the world na jaemin, i would love to be your boyfriend."
jaemin let out the breath he was holding and swept the older up in his arms, peppering his face with kisses.
letting go slightly to see his boyfriends face, he smiled feeling like he was on cloud-9 from this feeling.
"you're so precious lee jeno."

[ 3 years later]
"nana, where are we going?" jeno asked, eyes covered with a blindfold as he relied purely on his senses other than sight to not trip and fall flat on his face.
giggling, jaemin just held jeno's smaller hand tighter, leading him to the little clearing they discovered a while back together. guiding him to the small blanket laid out with some food on it.
jeno sat down and the blindfold was removed as he was met with the sight of a star filled night sky. he awed in delight at the sheer amount of stars in the sky, getting all excited when seeing the brightness that they held.
"jaeminnie, when did you prepare all of this? you were with me all day!"
jaemin smiled and responded with a cheeky, "i have my ways," before sitting down himself, moving to pour some sparkling water into the fancy, clear plastic glasses that were there.
"oh? you have your ways huh?" snickering, jeno accepted the glass from his boyfriend. "let me guess, you asked renjun to set all of this up?"
hiding his flushing face (which was anyway barely noticeable due to the lack of light in the sky) behind his cup and taking a sip he uttered a small, "maybe," before deciding that it would be best to shift the conversation to something else that wouldn't embarrass him as much as the current one.
"how has your college been baby? we haven't had spent much time together lately so i'm quite behind about what's going on with you."
letting out a sigh that came with the stress of being a final year college student majoring in architecture, jeno started to explain about everything that's occurred since they last had time together to jaemin.
"can you even believe the nerve of professor ahn? he really had the audacity to say that we had a giant-ass project due in two days, that old fart. like geez, ok we get that you have no life other than watching your tv, grading our assignments and torturing your students, but did you really have to? no, i think the fuck not."
jaemin laughed at what jeno said, he moved over to kiss his forehead, letting his lips linger for a minute, both of them just reveling in the peace that a simple forehead could bring them even after three years of being together.
pulling away, jaemin smiled and booped jeno's nose before moving to take some food out of the picnic basket.
they happily ate their dinner while staring at the stars, finding constellations and making up some of their own pictures along the way.
"hey! that one looks like ryan!"
"where?" jaemin asked, straining his eyes to see the bear figurine that he loved so dearly.
"over there, by that one super bright star near the tree," jeno said, pointing to where ryan was.
jaemin laughed at his adorable boyfriend.
"baby, that doesn't look like ryan," he said smiling towards jeno who was now pouting.
"o-oh really? i thought it does..." jeno said trailing off while he blushed.
jaemin moved closer to him and reached out to lay jeno's head on his shoulder, laying his own head on top of his.
"it's fine nono."
they elapsed into silence, just purely admiring the scenery and basking in each other's presence, jaemin breathing in and out quite heavily trying to put his nerves together.
he moved away slightly to pull a tiny box out of the pocket of his jacket.
jeno looked over at jaemin was holding an open ring box towards him, eyes wide at the thin diamond encrusted ring lying in the box.
"jeno, i really suck at these types of things and i'm sure you're aware of this but i wanted to give you this as a promise ring. a promise ring to show you that i'll continue to make you happy, i'll continue to treat you like the most precious person in the universe, and maybe, eventually, if it's ok with you, marry you...?" jaemin said, trailing off towards the end.
the ravenette smiled through tears of happiness, too choked up to answer verbally so he just nodded frantically to show jaemin that he was happy, extremely happy, and he'd love to have the promise ring being offered to him.
jaemin carefully held jeno's hand and slid the ring onto his finger, marveling in how much prettier the ring looked as it sat on his boyfriends hand.
they both leaned closer to each other, kissing under the moonlight with the night sky being witness to their unending love.

i don't wanna let go of this but this story just seems to be ending here.
there definitely will be extra chapters though because i love this book too much!
