The New Earth

The impossible happens all the time. We learned that in history class as children. Earth being destroyed by Tsunami's, Earthquakes, Tornadoes and much more. Although it happened thousands of years ago.

It is still spoken about they called it the 'Grand Disaster'. At the time scientists were studying another planet they thought was livable. They only got maybe 100 thousand people here.

This planet was there last chance to survive so they thought. Not everybody survived the journey to the planet many people died.

It turned out this planet was livable we call it Ara. The planet thrived there was many natural resources and plants.

I have heard that many animals that were on earth they did not get to Ara. Only a few Farm animals Dogs and Cats.

There is millions of us now. Ara has come a long way since humans inhabited it.

My name is Amelia I am 21 and I have been offered along with a group of other people to go back to earth and study what's left and what happened.

I have always had a interest in figuring out what happened. Of course there is a chance that we may not survive. But since I was a child I have been reading about 'The grand disaster' and 'Earth'.

It was a once in a life time opportunity I was not going to give up.

The space ship leaves in 1 hour. We have devovloped the space ships to move much faster since the long journey from earth to Ara.

I packed most of my stuff since it takes a few days to get to earth and we could be there for a few months.

I walked out of my small house it was only me and my best friend Esmy who lived here. We are taking the biggest space ship on Ara it has many rooms.

Almost like a house. I picked a few of the pink leafs off of a tree and went inside to wash them off. Most plants on Ara were edible these pink leafs tasted sweet and juicy.

The pink leafs were my favorite fruit on Ara. "I'm home Amelia are you all ready to leave yet" Esmy yelled.

She was also one of the people going to Earth. "Yes and do you know if we are allowed to take food from Ara to Earth or are they bringing it" I asked.

"They are bringing it but they said if you want snacks bring your own but only stuff that does not expire quickly". I took my miniature pink leaf tree and a few bags of red oranges.

"I am going to start walking down to the ship we should be boarding soon" I said. "I'll be there soon I just have to grab some things" Esmy said.

I put all of my stuff on the floating bag carrier. I held on to the rope it made it so your luggage was as light as a feather.

I walked down the side of the road towards the space station on Ara. Also known as ANSS Ara's National Space Station.

When I arrived it looked like there was about 10 people around my age and one older man.

I sat down on a chair and waited Esmy showed up 10 minutes later and sat beside me. "I think we will start boarding once everyone is here" I told her.

She nodded. A few more people arrived then the older man stood up and started speaking.

"Hello everyone if all of you signed your papers follow me to the ship we will begin boarding".
