Chapter Ten

A few months went by, I was officially Wendy's legal guardian, Acnologia's fortunes had all become mine, and I had sold all his establishments to Jellal who had become the new crime boss in our parts, and who was also discovered as Acnologia's fathers basterd son. At least, that's what the news and his fake identification said.

I now had all the money in the world, and Wendy and I schooled from home on computers...

Home.

We had, after much arguing and debating, decided to live at Jellal's castle. It was the better option since it wasn't too far away from our friends. We did up our house nicely for Lucy to live in, but after some time she decided she just didn't want to live in town anymore and came back to the castle to work for Jellal as his accountant.

Gray and Natsu, and many of my other friends had also taken jobs from Jellal. Gray had started dating Ultear and to everyone's surprise, Natsu had been caught with Meredy. They had finally come out about their relationship, and a week later, Lucy and Macbeth, which was Midnights real name as we found out, had also declared they were seeing each other.

Jellal kept bringing me flowers and gifts, but our relationship was rocky. I couldn't condone his way of living and his choice of work, but we couldn't stay away from each other for long, and he rarely got angry with me anymore, and if we did argue, we made up easily as if nothing had ever happened. We had the castle in a debate as to what exactly our relationship is. I said we were just friends, but he spread a rumour around that we were together.

Not everyone stayed together though, Richard, who I had known as Hoteye, and Soyer, who I had know as Racer, left the castle to try and make it big in the world. Richard wanted to be a farmer because it had been his younger brothers dream, and he longed to feel closer to his brother again. Soyer wanted to become a race car driver and Jellal had produced all the new identifications for all of them.

Angel Decided to stay at the castle and cook and take care of house cleaning with her magic 'angels'. Her name was really Sorano, but she still preferred to go by Angel. She said that 'Sorano' died with her little sister that day.

Cobra, or rather Erik, had married his girlfriend Kinana, who was his snake, Cubellios, a few weeks after everything had come together again. Even now they were inseparable. That was true love.

Wendy, in her spare time took to helping Meredy and they learned about new medicines and other things together. Another girl called Shelia was hired as an assistant to Meredy, and the three of them got on well with their similar interests.

In my spare time I had trained with my new armors and magic. The garden had been tidied, and the court yard was mowed. There was a nice place on the grounds where I could practice my flying, and now I am a natural.

Jellal had offered to spar with me many times, but he never beat me. I knew he could easily over power me if he used the full force of his magic, but he didn't and that led me to win each and every match. At first, he had held back, but eventually he understood that holding back against me wasn't a good idea after I sent him inside without clothes and shredded underwear. He complimented my skill and that made my heart flutter.

I could easily say I had feelings beyond friendship for him now, but I didn't quiet know what to do about them. He tried to kiss me every time we saw each other. Passing in the halls, before or after meals, as a greeting, and any other time we found ourselves alone together.

He was careful about how he touched me, but he did keep touching me, and it didn't matter how many times I told him not to, or swat his hands away, he kept trying his luck. Sometimes he would come to my room in the early morning and ask if he could brush my hair for me. He was obsessed with my hair. And because that usually went to trying to kiss me, touching my neck or trying to lay me on my bed, I only said yes on days I felt like I could deal with his nonsense.
