A/N: So sorry for not updating yesterday! (I started watching the office and forgot tbh) but here's your update!

Starflight watched as Glory and Deathbringer left the house and desperately missed Fatespeaker's presence at his side. Her reassuring hand on his shoulder, her warmth, and even her remarks that Starflight thought were so dumb, but he loved them nonetheless.

"Starflight, you good?" Clay asked, wrapping an arm around him. "You were spacing off there for a moment."

Starflight smiled. He knew that his friends cared for him, and it felt nice to be taken care of. "Yeah," he replied. "Thanks, Clay. Just... thinking."

"That's the Starflight I know," Clay said with a warm smile. "What were you thinking about?"

"Fatespeaker," Starflight replied sheepishly. He was not the romantic type, and he knew it was slightly cheesy for him to think about Fatespeaker and then admit it. "It's just—I got so used to having her around with me all the time, and then when I see people like Glory and Deathbringer together, and I don't have someone to turn to right now, or the fact that Glory and Deathbringer seem so perfect. And I'm terrible with feelings, I'm not romantic, and I just feel so..."

"Like a loser," Clay guessed. "Hey, I get it. I love Glory to death, but it does seem like everything is easy for them, even though I know it's not. And I'm terrible with feelings. Peril says I'm as dense and oblivious as a rock."

Starflight chuckled. "Yeah, Fatespeaker says similar stuff. Glad I'm not the only one."

"Hey, what are friends for?" Clay said with a shrug. His hand returned to his side. "Maybe me, you, Fatespeaker, and Peril should go on a double date sometime and watch our girlfriends make fun of us."

"Sounds great," Starflight said. "But let's wait until things settle down. Don't want anyone getting kidnapped, right?" Starflight tried to make it a joke, but it sounded grim and he knew that it could happen at any point.

But, hopefully, things would settle down and everyone would stay alive and together.
