HEPHAESTUS is describe to be a huge, deformed muscular man with shoulders that are at different heights and a huge, misshapen head, which Leo described to be lumpy and covered with welts, 'as if he'd been bitten by a million bees, and then dragged across gravel.' He also has bushy eyebrows, and a wild brown beard that sparks fire from time to time. We never get a physical description for his Roman counterpart VULCAN, but it's safe to assume that he looks the same.
