Chapter 10: Goodnight Love

That night, I about past out in my bed. After Harry rescued me, I walked back into the common room and got applauded. That was awkward. I made my way to my room, changed, and fell backwards onto my bed. It bounced from the movement. 

I closed my eyes for a second. I had no time today to take a breather. Being continually talked to and applauded and being pulled around exhausts people, especially me.

I opened my eyes and sat up pulling the sheets up. Satisfied, I laid back down and rolled over looking out the window. In the glass I could see the reflection of Cho at her desk. Her lamp cast a soft glow over the room as she sat at her desk and wrote another letter or worked on homework. Her tongue stuck out as she concentrated.

"Thank you for today." I made her jump. Her brown eyes widened as she looked at me.

"Oh. You're welcome. It was worth it, the way he fell is still in my head." She laughed.

I pulled the blanket up further so it was just under my chin. "What are you working on?" 

"Oh, just homework. McGonagall gave us this essay the other day and it isn't due for a while but I had extra time." She looked down at her essay and erased something.

"How do you have such good time management? I have barely enough control for Patrol and schoolwork. You have a boyfriend, sport, and prefect duties.... I can't imagine the amount of stress you have to go through." I looked out the window again.

She looked at me. "I don't know how.... Goodnight Luna." 

"Goodnight Cho."

Outside the window was the Orion constellation, his arrow pointing in the direction of a certain underwater common room.

"Dude. She knocked you to the ground." Blaize offered Draco an ice pack. He grabbed it and placed it on his bruise.

"You were there?" He hissed at the pain the ice pack brought.

Blaize chuckled. "No, but the school talks. Those Portraits are gossips."

"Just what I needed." Draco slouched in his chair. He could mentally hear his Mother scolding him.

"Dude, you're famous now! Hey, can I have your autograph?" He held out a piece of paper and a pen.

"Knock that off." He shoved his hand away.

"She really has a killer punch....Why were you hanging out with her the other day?" He played with a string attached to his chair.

"Just Head Boy and Girl stuff." He moved the ice pack from his eye. "Why?"

"Just wondering.... Does it have something to do with the case McGonagall brought up tonight?" He looked at Draco.

"Something like that." 

"Cool.... What did you do to aggravate Loony like that?" She leaned back and crossed his arms.

"Why do you wanna know so much?" 

"'Cause I want to get my story straight. The others would love to hear about how you aggravated Loony that much. Some pointers, you know?" Draco nodded.

"I didn't do much. I pretended to like her and then was rude to her the next day. Easy." 

"Easy. Who knew Loony was that simple."He smirked.

"Yeah." Something about that statement didn't sit well with Draco. He also couldn't get her angry stance and her face out of his head.

"Why don't you have Patrol tonight?"
