Chapter 1

Clarke was awoken by the sound of her alarm at 9am on a Sunday morning. Way to early in her opinion, but raven and octavia had insisted. They had wanted to make sure she was up and ready on time as Clarke was known to oversleep, a lot.

Not bothering to open her eyes Clarke reached to shut the alarm off, accidentally knocking her phone of the table In the process. The blonde grunted before slowly opening her eyes. The brightness of her room stung her eyes, she had forgotten to close her curtains the night before. She sat up slightly leaning against the head board rubbing her eyes.

As the girl started to wake up a bit more she could hear her phone buzzing from the floor. She leaned over to retrieve it and saw she had a load of messages from raven and octavia. She sighed and unlocked her phone.

Reyes: u guys up yet??

O: I am Clarke's probably not tho

Reyes: she better be, I told her to set an alarm for 9

O: yh but we r talking about Clarke here, she probs went back to sleep

Reyes: She better get her lazy ass up, if she's late we r leaving without her

Me: rude

Reyes: college is important, u can sleep when we get there

Me: Ik, ima sleep for another then mins tho

Reyes: fine with me I'll just leave without you :))

Me: you could never :))

Reyes: wanna bet ;))

O: chill out and get your asses ready before I leave without both of you

Reyes: :(

Me: :((

Clarke placed her phone back on the table before getting out of bed. She stretched her arms out wide and stepped out of her room heading to the kitchen where her father was making pancakes.

As she walked closer her dad turned and smiled at her,
"Mornin" he said and turned his attention back to the food. Clarke smiled and poured herself some coffee.
"So, you ready?" Jake asked without looking up.
"Uh, yeah I think so" Clarke replied and took a seat at the table drinking her coffee. A moment later Jake slid a plate full of pancakes to her. Her eyes widened. There were enough there there to feed 5 people.
"Your gonna need energy today kiddo" he pecked her forehead and walked back to his room.

About 15 minutes later Clarke was finished and was surprised that she had managed to eat all the pancakes. She quickly washed her plate and then looked at her watch: 9:26. Alright so she had about half an hour before she had to meet raven and octavia at the ark cafe down the road.

The blonde walked off to her room to shower.
Once she had finished she chucked on a black pair of ripped jeans and a white t-shirt. She then scooped her hair up into a messy bun. If she was going to be stuck in a car for the next five hours, it didn't really matter how she looked.

Just as she had finished packing the last of the things she would need she heard her door open. Her mother was stood in the doorway smiling at her.
"You all packed?" She asked,
"Yeah, pretty much" Abby then walked towards her and pulled her into a tight embrace. She was definitely going to miss her mum.
Abby sighed and pulled back, cupping Clarke's cheeks.
"Call me when you get there?" She smiled.
"Of couse I will mum" she smiled.

Half an hour later the blonde was waving goodbye to her parents and walking down to the Ark. she had managed to fit all of her stuff into one suitcase and a backpack. Octavias brother, Bellamy was driving them to the college, even thought they all had their drivers license, he had insisted.
