Carmen's Point of View

2 Months Later

Graduating high school today and it's really bittersweet. Apart of me can't wait to leave this school but the other part knows that I'm also leaving Damon and that saddens me because he is the type of guy you fall in love with; the guy that girls post about for relationship goals. I'm going to miss him but he is going to Alabama on a football scholarship. Both of our lives decided before we started this teenage love affair.

"Hurry up, Carmen," I here Onika yell at me from downstairs.

I smile as I run down the steps at least she is coming with me. I felt bad taking her away from her family but she she says she wants her a British boy so together we will conquer England. When I finally get downstairs I see Damon is here looking as good as ever in a black fitted suit. We took some pictures and left for the School.

4 Hours Later

I'm officially a high school graduate now. It felt so surreal when I walked across that stage to get my diploma. Right now I'm in the car on my home. My mom wanted to go out but I'm too tired. All I wanted to do is curl in my bed. I have big plans starting tomorrow. Damon goes away to college a week after July 4th.Training camp starts end of July, so he wants to be settled before then.

The next couple of weeks are gonna be my last with him. It really saddens me. But to cheer all of us my mom is letting us use the beach house until the Fourth. It's just gonna be me, Damon, Onika, and Aubrey( her new boo). He's British just like she wanted and she didn't have to go to England to get him. But he doesn't have the accent Cuz he was born here. He going to Oxford too because his parents both went there which makes him a legacy. He is super cute and so nice. You would never know he is hella rich. He fits right in with us. I'm glad Onika found somebody she deserves it. We met him at local café that me and Onika Love. It's amazing to watch the two of them together. Onika definelty deserves this. Anyway, we are going and it's gonna be great, to go and just forget the worries and have a good time.

The Next Day

" Carmen, vamos por favor" (Carmen, come on please).

" Yo voy. Me estoy visitendo, mama."( I'm coming. I'm getting dressed.)

Did I mention I was Spanish, lol. I'm part Puerto Rican and Dominican. The face that mi madre is speaking in Spanish tells me she is getting frustrated, which is never a good thing. I need to hurry now. My generally speaks English unless she's angry, frustrated, excited, or talking in public about private matters. Grabbing my keys, phone and bag I race downstairs.

"Estoy aquí, mama(I'm here, mom).

"Finally, what took so long. Nope don't tell answer that just hurry up. They have been outside for 20 minutos for you. You better get going before the traffic gets too heavy. Te amo, mi hija. Ser seguro y llámame cuando llegues allí. Pero lo mas importante que te diviertas."( I love you my daughter. Be safe and call me when you get there. But most importantly have fun.)

"Gracias, mamí. Te amo tambien."( Thank you mommy. I love you too.)

With that I kissed her and was out the door.

"Hey, y'all" I said as I got in the car.

" Ah, finally the queen has arrived. All is right in the world. WE can begin our day now" Damon said to me.

" Shut up, fool" I yelled as I punched him lightly on the shoulder.

"Ouch. DAMN that heart" He said trying to hide his huge smile and laughing eyes.

"Shut up, big head. WE both know that it didn't hurt you at all. Now drive before I replace you" I told him as I kissed lightly on the cheek.

As he pulled onto the street I turned around to say hi to my bestie but I saw her enthralled in a whispered conversation with Aubrey.

"Hi, to y'all asses" to I said.

"Hey, boo," Onika responded

"Sup, ugly," Aubrey said

"Nothing, just wanted to bother y'all. Continue please. Bye" I said and turned back around. I looked out the sunroof and smiled. This is going to be so fun. TO have fun with my crew and forget about tomorrow and my stresses just what I needed. I closed my eyes and smiled. We had a long drive ahead might as well take a nap.
