Chapter 9

The next day was the Battle of the Bands. I figured out about my lyrics so I got back up. Claire and I decided to join forces to have a little bonding time. Today was Labor Day so we didn't have school.
"Jim quit making out with Claire! It's my turn to have her," I scolded, "She's my Girlfriend,". "Ok and? We have more important stuff to do. And YOU James Lake Jr. have to protocol tonight because your the Trollhunter,"  he sighed in defeat and let go of Claire.
"Ok what song are we doing? Are we doing a cover? Or what?" Says Claire. "Hm, I don't know to be honest. I mean we could try to do an original. I started working on it on Saturday and Douxie helped me out a little bit," I said while I grabbed my book. She only smirked and looked at me, "um what?"
"So, you and Douxie? Huh 😏?"
"Did Jim tell you?" I asked as I leaned against my desk.
"Maybe, but besides the point! You have to spill the tea," she squealed. I sighed.
"He asked me out last night and I said yes. He picked me up at my house and took me to a lake in the forest, I also at slipped he caught me and we were so damn close that I almost let my guard down also he told me somethings about his past and stuff. We, uh- kissed?" I said out of breath she actually started to fan girl.
"Well since you guys haves kissed, are you guys you know? Official?" My face turned pink and rubbed my neck.
"Um I don't know. I mean we said I love you already but he hasn't asked to be together yet," I said sadly.
"Don't worry he will come around," Claire said as she put an arm around my shoulders.
"I think we should do a my little pony song cuz that shit smacks," I said cause my I'm stuck on my lyrics. Claire laughed and nodded her head, "How about Under Our Spell?" Asked Claire, I just hummed and we decided to practice a little and wait till it's time to go.

Douxie's POV-
I couldn't stop thinking about (Y/n). Even though it's been 11 hours, 54 minutes, and 34 seconds. Bloody hell im even keeping time. I sighed while my crew tunes their instruments.
"Dude you ok?" Asked James, I shook my head, "Dud looks like your in love. Who's the lucky girl?" Asked John, "Ugh, her name is (Y/n) (M/n) Lake. She's Jim Lakes Twin. Man she is such a babe," I said still dozing off. "Man she must be a babe cause not even music can make you this lovey dovey,"
"Yeah I know. I took her out last night and well we kissed. But I didn't ask her to my girl, I mean I want to cause I love her but her brother is in the way. Just because I called his Girlfriend nuclear," they all hissed, "Bro that's beyond low, I mean I would have punched you in the face, but then going to his sister!? Nah dude you got issues," I nodded my head. "Well just do it, is going to be watching the Battle of the Bands?"
"No she is auditioning with Claire,"
"Well maybe you should dedicate a song to the dudette?"
"Bloody hell! That's an astronomical idea!" I yelled.

(Y/n) POV-
"It's 3:35 we should head to Town Center and set up,"
Says Claire, "okay," we got up and packed our bags with food and drinks.
"Jim we gonna head out you guys should head out around 5," I yelled from down stairs.
Time skip by Steve being a Buttsniff~

We got there I saw Douxie and his Band. We locked eyes while his friends stopped and looked at us. Claire nudge me to hurry up, I smiled at him and ran to catch up with Claire.
" Oooooooh~ I saw the way you guys looked at each other," she looked at me while she raised her eyebrows. "Claire stopppppp," I whined.
I could hear his band whispering in the background, "...wait stop," I heard someone, "Yo, your name is (Y/n) Lake right?" Some blonde dude asked me, I turned and faced him, "yeah who's asking?"
"Well I'm friends with Douxie boy over there," he pointed to Douxie hi dint behind some y'all dude. I laughed  a little, "Well I told him I would give this to you, also he says not to open it till after the show," he waved off and ran back to the group. I held the small box in hand wondering what's inside.
"Isn't that romantic?" Questioned Claire I shrugged and turned my head slightly back to Douxie to see his face all red from embarrassment.
