When it's time to show intellectualism, we all inclined a bit towards science but are we paying off the favour of science on us?
Science has never been a discovery for us. It has always been a tool for rising higher on the grounds. NASA, a pioneer in science came in force when American's started fearing of Russia's Sputnik.
"The driving force, of course, was the launch of Sputnik on Oct. 4, 1957, followed by its even weightier successors. Amid the Cold War, a country that aspired to global pre-eminence could not let that challenge pass"
It has been quoted on the website of NASA itself. The good thing about science that it never lies. But that can't be the reason to abolish every particular scientific field. Why when we sat our foot on the moon in even 60's we are still deprived of so many things? Why the design of rocket made in the '60s is still the one we are using in 2020? Why is it that knowing the expansion of the universe we couldn't lead a world free from conserving ideology? Why it always being "Religion v/s Science" Religion keeps saying faith and Science as what I have seen keep pushing it down?
People love science and some hates too because of one thing,
"Limitless Journey"
We have been to the moon as what America told and that we have sent a probe to the Mars, Parker towards the Sun and Voyager 1, that had jumped out of the solar system riding the infinite ocean of the universe. But then where are we lacking? We must lack somewhere because the earth doesn't look so good from inside than from the outer space.
"In just three years, the Trump administration has diminished the role of science in federal policymaking while halting or disrupting research projects nationwide, marking a transformation of the federal government whose effects, experts say, could reverberate for years" New York Times published at the end of last year.
We have stopped involving science in the politics but dented science enough by indulging politics in it.
Vaishnavi Chandrashekhar writes,
"Indian government gave a call for research proposals on the "uniqueness" of indigenous cows and the curative properties of cow urine, dung, and milk, including potential cancer treatments. This is what happening. The one who should be on the heights of finding a solution for the COVID was in February 2020 following such. But finally, more than 500 scientists have written an online letter calling it "unscientific" and a misdirection of public money at a time when research in India is already facing a financial crunch. The call for proposal was a part of the large funding programme"
Are we falling to this ground?
It takes a lot for a person to get into the field of science. It's not just out of earth talking but it can deeply affect and enrich the present world filled with up and downs, crushing in the ego of religion and caste.
Gender preferences and many shits are still going on.
But why Science should come in front?
Maybe because it believes what it sees? Maybe because it looks human as a sapiens, a common being. Maybe because it never went into the hands of myth.
