Heroes of Olympus: Happily Ever After

Part 12

A/N- Hey people so I just wanted to let you know that now that the holidays are over the story is going to be going back to where it was before which is after the Percabeth proposal and now it will be several months after that where they will be planning the wedding!

- Annabeth's POV -

Oh stress, don't you just love it... not. My wedding is in 2 months, right now it's the beginning of April and the wedding is the first week of June which is a little after most kids arrive for summer training at CHB. There is still so many things to do, I'm just thankful that the girls can help me plan while Percy confirming some things with Chiron, although he was never much help anyways. Anyways him being away allows me to do one of the best parts of wedding planning... wedding dress shopping! I'm not really a shopping type of girl, but who wouldn't get exited over this? I grabbed my purse, and a sketch pad and pen and exited my apartment building with Thalia, Piper, Hazel, Calypso, and Reyna. We walked to a subway station and were on the subway shortly. Once we got off the subway we quickly walked to a nice wedding boutique and went inside. Piper immediately dived into a rack of dresses as Thalia, my maid of honor stood to the side eyeing the dresses like they were about the explode. Only moments later Piper pulled out a tight dress that was a mermaid style and was tinged lightly pink.

"Really Piper, don't you think that would clash with the color scheme?" I said wrinkling my nose.

"Don't worry, I was just kidding... or was I?" She said holding back laughter.

"I think you would like something more like... this," Reyna said as she pulled out a dress. It was strapless and had a sweetheart neck line, the skirt of the dress was big, round, and puffy with little beads lining the bottom.

"Hmm, to extravagant," I replied and was soon deep into a rack of dresses myself. An hour later after trying on 4 different dresses I went to the back of the store looking for more dresses and found a mannequin with a little just on the top that still had an old dress on it. I circled around admiring the beautiful dress, it had a sweet heart neckline, but a sheer material made capped sleeves and the material had bits of pretty lace around the edges, the back came down quite a ways but had the same sheer material covering it giving it an elegant look, the waist had a silver jewels and beads belting it and the skirt was a plain white that went back to make a train and had the sheer material floating on top... it was perfect.

"Um excuse me, I was wondering if this dress was available," I asked an employee as she walked by.

"Oh that one, you see that was our masterpiece and we put it in our window for months but no one wanted it. As sad as it is we have to put it in the back because not its out of style... you know now days people want dresses like the girls have on the show 'my big fat gypsy wedding'!"

"Well I was actually wondering if I could try it on," I say and and the lady's face brightens instantly and she even lets out a little squeal.

"Yes, yes of course! Your perfect for the dress, oh this is going to be wonderful! Here I'll get it off of the mannequin and you can wait in the changing room and I'll bring it too you!" She exclaims as she runs spins around and shouts down the hall, "Susan, someone wants to try on the goddess!" I hear a gasp come from the office room and a lady's head pokes out into the hallway.

"Really? I'll be there in a minuet," she says and I continue to walk to the changing room. When they come in carrying the dress I can't help but ask,

"What's the goddess?"

"Oh that's what we call the dress, and it's what you'll look when you try the dress on," Susan answers as they leave me alone to change. Once I come out and Susan zips up the back they pin the veil into my hair with a pearl embedded comb. I walk out to the area where the girls are gathered and all heads spin towards me.

"Oh," Piper says.
"My," Hazel mutters.
"GODS!" Reyna says. I smile and look to Thalia who has a small smile on her lips, and I swear just wiped away a tear.

"Do you like it?" I ask smoothing out the front and all Thalia does is keep nodding her head, "How much does it cost?" I ask nervously, why nervously you may ask, well because I just know that this dress could cost way out of my budget but I would probably still get it.

"Well... look seeing you in this dress, it was made for you and no one else might ever buy it so me and Christine have decided to give you a major discount," Susan tells me smiling and I smile right back. I purchase the dress and immediately call Percy telling him how exited I am, now all I have to do is find some bridesmaid dresses.
