A huge gust of wind blew across the pavement. Skye was walking home with (Y/n). Friday's tennis practice had been canceled after the warning of thunder storm. Skye and (Y/n) grabbed their equipment and headed to their cars across the field. It was their sophomore year of high school. Covid-19 happened, leaving their school doing online learning. It was May, meaning summer was coming soon. And Skye, being the nerdy and adventurous person she was, wanted more than what teenage life offered.

"You know, I kinda wish we could go on an adventure. Live life to the fullest, find love, and have life threatening experiences."

"Yeah, without dying of course." (Y/n) replied

"Haha yeah, obviously. If only that was possible." Skye said, walking off the curb to the parking lot. It slowly began to drizzle. Then it began pouring. They fast walked to their cars.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow!" Skye said standing in front of her car

"Yeah. And don't worry. We'll find something fun to do during the summer. I promise."

"Really? Thanks." She said, Hugging her friend tightly. That's when she heard a crackling sound. Her whole body felt tingly and her tongue felt weird, the taste of metal in her mouth. That meant only one thing.

"(Y/N)! Run!" Before anyone could react, a blast of white light surrounded you and Skye. Pain searing through your's and Skye's entire body. (Y/n) disappeared as Skye lost consciousness.

When Skye came to, she noticed she was lying on a dirt road surrounded by a forest. She stood up, wondering why she wasn't in pain. She looked up, confused and astonished at what she saw on the billboard in front of her.
