❝ Chapter Four ❞
- New York -
"So I'll let Mr. Lee handle this case," The chairman said as the meeting came to an end. The door was opened and everyone's attention wants towards the door to see the son of the chairman coming with takeout food on his hands.
He places the foods front on everyone before starting to speak "You eat and I speak" he grabbed his father's laptop and was about to plug the USB drive.
"Taehyung what you doing? The meeting is over" Mr. Kim said to his son who waves aways the words as he continued to plug the USB, pulling up a property back from his home country.
Mr. Kim went speechless at the area he showed, he felt emotions washing over him. "As you all know I'm about to expand my business to Korea. With few calls here and there, I found the perfect land I want the headquarter to be."
Taehyung realized what he was doing but had no intention to stop because he wants what the other man is feeling. He wants to remind his mother every single day so that way he doesn't forget what the man has done to his wife.
"And the matter is, this land is under Group K so I would like to buy this." He looked dead in his father's eyes, seeing the hint of emotion left him feeling satisfied.
"Right, Mr.Kim?" He mockingly asked directly, knowing fulling that he couldn't refuse the offer in front of everyone. Mr. Kim looked away "Yes, yeah we can sell the land to you.
- Korea -
The monthly meeting in BigHit negotiator company was for discussing the ongoing cases the teams are handling or giving them new cases to handle and the day was here. With the files on Jungkook's left hand and a coffee in his right, he walks down the hallway of the 6th flood, into the meeting room.
"Good morning" Jungkook greeted his teammates along with some members of team 4. Teams 1 and 4 were always on each other's throats because they want to get the best case that they could benefit from.
Their boss loved the idea of competitions so she just waits and watches who can win the conversation of pure wisdom, tho most of the time Team 1 ends up getting the case because their teamwork is great along with the people in the group.
It's not like the other group isn't smart enough, it just that Team 1 had more experience than them and they couldn't risk a project because the team needs to fill up their lacking.
Soon their boss arrives, "Good morning everyone" They all replies back with 'hello' or 'good morning'. This company was a friendly type where you don't have to bow in front of your boss and you can chat with others without formalities.
But there is one rule everyone has to follow: No dating your clients. If you get into a relationship with one of your clients, it's better to just drop the ease or quit because once you get the feelings to involve in business, everything is gonna take a U-turn.
"How is the case going, Team 4?" Asked the man. Chen goes to speak about all the difficulties they had during the process and how they solved the problems. Or how they plan out the next step. The boss came up with this meeting because they can learn from each other and know the different solutions to problems.
"So there is a new client we have. He wants to open his brand here and because it's originally from the States, he has no connection here. And he signed the contract to work with us last week."
As soon a the words left the boss's mouth, Team 4 was ready to jump on the case "Team 4 will be the perfect fit for this one"
"We have more advantages on cases like this, Team 4" One of the members of Jungkook's team, ready to start a fight. But for some reason, the boss didn't look very happy about today's fight.
"As much as I would like for you to complete with each other, I don't have time today so do the client. Therefore the case goes to Team 1." She announced and got her stuff ready to leave the room, Team 4 being upset and another team happy.
