"I've made my decision."Az finally spoke.
He had made up his mind now it was only a matter of whether the Moon Deity would accept his decision. He hoped even prayed within that he made the right decision because he didn't want to know about the consequences of being wrong.
The Moon Deity could see the rage of emotions within Az but his eyes held a tense determination. She could feel the aura around Az and it one of myriad colors, a sign of the turmoil the senses were in, a sign representing the mind and spirit in a twisting loop of uncertainty and confusion held by a flicker of hope.
She could feel the contradictory emotions within Az and this only intrigued her to know his decision even more. It was true she loved her true sons too much, she loved them with every fiber in her being for she had carried them in her womb for nine months; nine months of closeness, a feeling of togetherness, a feeling of protectiveness, a feeling of utter adoration and affection that she could not fathom into words. The reality of the feud was unknown to her until the true history had resurfaced but she could still not bring herself to put the blame upon her sons for she loved them, and in her love she could not see the fault why they had to be wrong for wanting to be strong. How was a mother ever to choose between her two sons whom she held ever close to her heart? How was she supposed to settle a feud by claiming victory to a son? It was an impossible task for her, a decision she could never make nor ever think about.
In the end fate had chosen its way to twist the gears of history to seal the feud ages back and this had led them to this moment where the seal had been broken and now the two remaining spirits were brought back to fight once more for ultimate dominance. A final choice left in the hands of the cursed bearer- Zurkrel or Pnevma?
"What will your decision be? Whom will you choose and whom will you condemn?" The Moon deity asked with a gentle voice but it was coated with a touch of sorrow.
"I can't.....I....ca.."Az began stuttering over his decision but quickly paused and took in a deep breath.
"I refuse. I refuse to be a sacrifice for the feud that started ages back. I refuse to be a puppet playing along the strings of fate. Like you said there's not only the Sun and Moon in the sky, and I think I now understand. I was so focused on the two blinding choices in front of me that for a moment I was unable to see the things from my own perspective."Az began with a confidence that found its root from his love for the family he had found and the need to protect them all.
"I refuse to choose between any one of them. The feud began all because they both wanted power over the other, and I refuse to offer myself to give them just that. Because of their greed for more they lost what they had, Bratista is no more and now they want to take over my family too? I refuse to be a conduit playing along with this."
"That's my decision I refuse to choose either of them."Az concluded.
As soon as Az had said those words, he began regretting it when he saw the change in aura in the Moon Deity herself, it was no longer the calm and serene white glow it had been before but rather became a thunderous and darken haze of anger.
"HOW DARE YOU MOCK FATE WITH YOUR INSOLENCE?"The Moon Deity seethed. She could not believe the audacity of the boy standing before her, for mocking her with such insolent thoughts on a decision of such significance.
"Did you not hear my words when I said YOU had TWO decisions ALONE? Did I not make it clear enough for you when I told you of the consequences? How dare you, a mere pup, mock me your creator?"The Moon Deity was now raging, Az's decision had struck her the core of her being, her two child, how could this mere fool take a decision so lightly?
