Electricity

It was around 5pm when our crying had died down, I noticed that Tyler wasn’t sniffling as hard as he was a few minutes ago. I was still against his chest in a tight embrace, it felt so nice and comforting. Eventually the hold loosened and we both sat back up on the couch.

“Well that was something.” I said

“Yeah, I feel better about everything going now.”

“So, I wanted to give you some good news.”

Tyler raised his brows as I began to tell him about my record deal. His face brightened up so much as I finished talking.

“Troye Sivan congratulations! This is so exciting!!!” He gleamed.

“And to celebrate, would you like to go out to dinner with me?”

“Oh? Like a, Date perhaps?”

“U-Uh, of course not! Just as friends.” I couldn’t help but blush.

“Right right...Well I’d be glad to go out with you.” He gave me a wink, that wasn’t helping.

Oh well, This’ll be interesting.

Chapter 3: Electricity

The next few hours were spent with me getting reservations to a nice restaurant in town called “Balluchi’s”. It was an italian restaurant with a handful of good reviews, and Tyler was up for it. The hard part was trying to find a nice outfit to go in with. I looked through everything Tilly and I bought but nothing looked really appropriate for the dress code.

“You know, I do have some things you can borrow if you’d like.” Tyler said.

“Oh really?”

“Of course! Come.” He grabbed my wrist and led me to his bedroom. He opened his closet and an array of button ups, blazers, suits, and many other fabulous articles of clothing was shown.  He perused his wardrobe and pulled out a dark navy blazer with a white button up.

“Try this on, I think you’ll like it.”

After changing, I went back into the bathroom and Tyler’s face lit up.

“You look amazing! That blazer really brings out your eyes.”

I looked in the mirror and noticed my eyes did pop out a little more than usual, It made me grin.

“Your smile is so cute Troye.”

I giggled, “Thank you Tilly, But yours is more cute.”

He peacefully sighed as he looked in the closet again, this time he pulled out a silver tie.

“Do you need help tying this?” I nodded in embarrassment. He fluffed my collar up and started to work his magic, it looked like the tie was going twenty different directions, but eventually He had managed to tie it in a fancy trinity knot.

“Woah, how did you do that?”

“A magician never reveals his secrets.” He said with a wink.

My phone read 6:07 as we walked out to our cab, I noticed the driver was the same one that Tyler drove up a wall earlier today.

“Oh, It’s you two again.” He said sarcastically.

“Yeah...Sorry about earlier today..” Tyler said.

“Whatever.”

I awkwardly gave him directions to the restaurant, the whole ride was quiet. I made sure to give him a nice tip on the way out, I think that made him happier...Maybe.
