The Herd

Chapter one

In New York City, Avalon Riverside apartments, on the twelfth floor, (a floor under the Snowflake Light Fury book), the entire cast after ice age four enter the floor of their new home. Manny gives a key to Diego.

Shira "What's the plan?"

Ellie "Our family will be in room 1 and you and Diego will be in room 2."

Sid "Is me and Granny getting room 3?"

Manny "No, it's room 199."

Sid "Oh."

Granny "He's being sarcastic you idiot. He's been telling ya it's room 3 for a bunch of times."

Sid "Oh..."

Granny "You'll pay for that."

Manny "I wasn't being sarcastic towards you."

Granny "I know. But you put me in the same room as him."

Peaches "Here's your guy's baggage."

Diego "Thank you."

Ellie "Remember to go back out for the rooftop party."

Diego "Won't miss it for the world."

The two Smilodon enter their room and close the door.

Shira "Ahh.... so glad the flight is over and that there's no more of you."

Diego laughs.

Shira "What's so funny?"

Diego "You think that's all of us."

Shira "...... shut up before I bite."

Diego "I'm a masochist sweetheart."

Shira "Oh yeah, there's no punishing you except death. But that's no fun."

Diego "At least you're safe from that stupid monkey."

Shira smiles with a purr as she nuzzles him softly. Then there's a knock on the door.

Diego "It's open Sid."

Sid opens the door and peeks inside at them.

Sid "Were you two about to mate?"

Shira "And have children to ruin our bdsm lives, no."

Diego "Say that again please."

Sid "So you two never mate."

Diego "Get Out!"

Sid shuts the door and Shira quickly locks it.

Meanwhile, in room 1, Peaches puts her baggage on the bed and sighs softly and annoyed. Ellie goes into the room and sees it on her face.

Ellie "What's wrong?"

Peaches "I can't find my journal."

Ellie ".... it was a journal? Thought it was a diary."

Peaches "Mom, it's a journal. There's a huge difference between them."

Ellie "Really because I see no difference."

Peaches "I'm going to go look for it."

Manny "Look for what?"

Peaches "My journal."

Manny "It was a journal?"

Ellie "Yep."

Manny "I thought it was a diary."

Ellie "Me too."

Peaches "You too dad."

Manny "Actually, does it really matter, they're the same thing."
