the beginning ..

"Crystal girl get up" .. My ma called upstairs

"Ma I been up , what are you talking about"?
"I was just making sure I didn't have to come up there" ..
"Yeah whatever , you seen my earphones"? I yelled to her
"They're in here on the table now bring your natural black ass on if you want a ride to school".. she snapped
"Forget it , I'll walk I don't like your attitude"., I snapped back then I heard her grabbed her car keys and head out the door
then I took a big sigh and proceeded to fix my hair in the mirror .. by the way

I'm Crystal , I'm outgoing and very talkative I recently published a book and I'm working on poetry right now as a side hustle.. until I graduate right now I'm seventeen and my Bestfriend is named Kareem we've been Bestfriend since kindergarten and ain't nothing came between us yet..

in the mist of doing my hair I got a call from a foreign number so I decided not too answer until I seen them calling again then I picked it up to answer it
"Hello is this Crystal"? the woman on the other line which sounded to me like Kareem's mother
"Mrs. June"?
"Yes , hey baby how Ya doing"?
"Good what about you"..
"I'm Fine , just a little worried have you seen or heard from Kareem"?.. she asked me
"Not since yesterday, why is everything okay"..
"Well I don't know , see if you can reach him for me we had a big argument last night and I think he's hurt" ..
"Well okay , I try". then she hung up the phone
and I dialed up Kareem's number he answered after it rung twice
"Yo where are you" I snapped
"At wilson's park"
"Why boy your ma is looking for you"?
"I can't talk to her anymore".. then he grew silent
"What ? Boy don't make me slap you"..
"Look Crystal chill okay"! he snapped
"Well I'm coming where you are".. I responded
"No , DON'T"!
"Bye Kareem I'm on my way" then I hung up my phone before he could say anything else ..
