Prey

Chapter 1

Felicity Moore stumbles upon a crime that gets her stuck in a sticky situation. Such as seeing a gang of vampires eating a person. After being kidnapped, she is taken to a warehouse and tied up. The only way for her to stay calm is to crack a few jokes. But all that can't possibly hide her beating heart or shaking hands. All she needs now is a way out. But how will that happen when she is surrounded by hundreds of vampires?

Daren Range is the head of the West Coast vampire clan. They had been strategizing for months to embark on a mission that would hopefully lead to the death of the leader of the East Coast vampire clan. Their enemies. But what they hadn't foreseen was a girl tied upside down as the broke into the warehouse.

When Daren rescues Felicity, it causes problems. Both have secrets that even they might not know themselves. But what they need right now is each other to escape the impossible difficulties that are about to change their lives forever.

"I was right, haha!" I raised my chin a little bit higher, proudly staring the two down. "So, technically now you can't kill me." I looked between the both of them. I would have crossed my arms and jutted my hip out to add to the affects of my sassy tone, but since I was hanging upside down and all tied up... Well, the sassiness was less known.

They exchanged a glance. "No eating me either." I piped in, my eyes narrowing at them. Yet, was all I could think before-

Behind me, a loud bang echoed through the room, making me jump. I don't know how I could possibly jump while I was hanging from the ceiling, and not to mention being upside down, but I made it possible. Really, it just worsened my headache.

"Well, well," a breathless voice interrupted my mind arguing. I glared up at them. It was a female with short black hair, her brown eyes twinkled in the darkness of the room. Her button down shirt was buttoned in the wrong holes showing half her bra.

I coughed a little, "Umm.. You might want to... fix your shirt..." I squirmed under the intense pressure of everyone's eyes that landed on me.

She looked down. "Right. Thanks." I nodded as she fixed her top. I looked around me at the room. More like a warehouse actually. It was all concrete with a few broken windows that stood about 5 floors up. There wasn't really anything else. It was just plain.

Except for the blood stains on the floor. That pretty much freaked me out. But I could take the sight of blood.

"Now, you know we can't let you go." She spoke, authority clear in her voice. I looked back up at her as she pulled out a knife and spun it lightly between both hands. "What all did you see?" I looked at her, my hair swinging in front of my eyes. There was movement above me. I looked at the window, a figure stood there it's finger too its lips.

"What are you looking at?" She began to turn and I quickly made up something.

"I was just looking at the position of the moon!"I shouted. "Because once the sun comes up don't you go.. poof?" I looked to see her stop halfway to the window, then she spun around.

"Ah so you do know our little secret." I gulped, blood was rushing to my head, black dots danced in my vision. "Well, I'll let you know-" before she could say anything, every window shattered, the sound was deafening. From every window was a person that was quickly spiraling down towards the ground.

Everything was a blur as they all moved too quickly for me to even see anything. Something came hurtling towards me, it's fangs were bared and gleaming in the moon. I noticed it was one of the two men that had been guarding me beforehand. Once it got close enough, I realized a second thing. Everyone was too busy and I would have to fight upside down or die. I only had a few seconds left before he reached me. I twisted my hands that were tied in front of me so I could at least try and punch this guy in his fruit bowl. Sweat trailed down my face, stinging my eyes, I licked my lip as I worked, biting it till it throbbed in pain.

The guy reached me and my hands are still stuck.
