My eyes almost bulge out of their sockets when I realize Ace isn't wearing a shirt. Never in my life have I seen such a chiselled body, for real. I look at his face hoping he didn't catch me looking at his body but the smirk that slowly turns into a small smile says instead.

Did he just.. smile? I look at him, dazed.

"So... what happened yesterday?" My voice is soft and defeated. I can't go back in time if something did happen.

"Come on, speak something," I demand. More like beg.

"Did we..?" I hint suddenly feeling bashful. I look at my intertwined hands on my lap over the covers.

"Did we..?" he draws out, his voice husky as always, his smile widening even more. Dimples appear on his left cheek. I pull myself out of the daze.

"You know..." I grit my teeth when he laughs. He motions with his hand to carry on.

"Did we... sleep together?" I get it out and I'm pretty sure I look like a tomato. His laughs fill the air and God, why do I like it so much? I never thought I'd see him laugh. It sounds heavenly. Even though he's laughing at me.

"You know, kitten," he says between his laughs, "you're cute." My heart skips a beat. Cute? Me?

"K-kitten?"

"You're like one," he brushes it off.

But what's so funny? Maybe he doesn't like me that way.. so the idea might seem funny to him. That causes my heart to constrict a little. Just a little.

I stand up, my headache subsides a little. My dress.. I'm not wearing them. Instead, I'm wearing my PJs, how? Why is Ace in my house? How did he get here... why don't I remember anything?

What in the hell is happening.

"Tell me what happened," I say groggily. His laughter dies down as he comes near. I hold my hand out to stop him, I don't want the closeness to distract me.

"Can you please?"

He nods his head, his face turns serious and I wonder if I'll ever see that side of him again.

"You drank too much." Too much?

"I didn't drink at all," I say, baffled.

His serious expression morphs into a frown. "I found you passed out in a couch, at midnight-"

"Midnight? But we reached there at 8," I tell him. His frown deepens.

"I searched for Ava and that is how I am in your apartment," he tells me.

"Ava told you where I lived? Just like that?" I ask in shock. Why would she do so?

"No, she was here all night. Just left an hour ago," he says.
