"Pass around the parcel, pass around the parcel..."
I slap my face and groan. I'm 14 and at my sister's 5 year old party.
Well, I'm just supervising for now. Next thing I know, I'll be pinning the tail on the donkey.
"Honey, what's wrong?" I hear one of the supervising mums say. I don't answer.
I should be at my friend's 15th birthday, but my mum said I should be more mature and be a supervisor. What's that to laugh about?
Anyway, there's already like 10 adults here anyway.
Wait... I should pretend to go to the loo, and climb out the window.
My friend only lives around the corner, so I could walk....
Stuff it. I'm staying.
They're onto the second to last layer of the parcel. I slap my face and groan again.
"Honey, what's wrong?" repeats the mum.
I still don't answer. Maybe I should keep slapping my face and groaning so can continuously say, "Honey, what's wrong? "
Someone yells from the kitchen. "Cakes ready!"
All the little girls scream and run to the kitchen, and 5 minutes later, they've got chocolate icing around their mouths and licking their fingers happily.
Maybe I could ask the cook for a small slice.
The last layer is on the parcel. As I look closer at it, I can see a tiny hole, with pink and purple sparkles on the present.
"Okay, we're gonna start! Who's gonna get the lucky prize?" says the lady operating the CD player.
Now I'm wondering if I should tell her about the present before she starts the music.
Go, stay, go??
I decide to just 'keep calm and carry on'. No-one else seems to notice. Maybe it's just me.
But then, after my sister has it, she tries to grab it back. I guess she's noticed it too. As the music stops, a girl called Ashley is the last to have it. I wonder if she sees the hole.
Nope, she undoes it on the other side. Phew!
My body sort of controls itself, and I find myself walking over to my mother in the kitchen. She's talking to someone, as usual.
"Er, mum, can I talk to you?"
"Yeah, of course."
The other lady moves away. Thank god.
"Er, there was a hole in the present. Well, the wrapping. I saw it and I was gonna do something but I didn't, and now I feel so stupid-"
"Hey, it's fine. I'll go and sort it."
I follow her out to the living room, where I see my sister, bawling her eyes out.
Mum hurries after her and gives her a big hug.
I know what this is about. She didn't want to give the present to the girl, because she wanted to tell someone about the hole.
Meanwhile, the Ashley girl is all happy about her new Barbie doll. What a little....

So there it is. A new story.
I know it was short but I've run out of ideas for today.
Please give me some suggestions, because I have no effing idea where to take this.
Don't comment your suggestions because I don't want everyone to see what's going on! Send them in on my inbox, or if you know me personally, send them to me on Gmail or whatever.
Please vomment! It would mean a lot if this story was famous!
Thanks guys!
I'm thinking that I should have a special goodbye. Comment your suggestions for that too!
