Lauren's POV
What if I told you your tears haven't been
ignored?
And everything that was taken can be
restored?

Today is our senior prom and my best friend, Camila, and I are getting ready for it. Camila wore a dark blue dress that I picked for her as she chose the black one I'm wearing right now.

"Lauren...I can't do this....," she said as she held my hand.

"Oh come on Camz, you're beautiful! And I'm sure that douchebag will regret what he did the time he sees you," I reassured her caressing her cheek with my thumb.

Yeah, a few weeks ago she caught her ex, Austin, kissing another girl. It was like the hardest time of her life. It was hard for me too, watching her like that, crying her eyes out for some boy who doesn't deserve her. I feel the hurt more than she does. She's an angel, she's perfect. She's my everything. Yes I do love her, but I never told her, and if I do, our friendship will be over. I'll be long gone and forgotten.

Camila's POV

"Oh come on Camz, you're beautiful! And I'm sure that douchebag will regret what he did the time he sees you," Lauren said to me, rubbing her thumb on my cheek. If she only knows what that does to me. It gives butterflies to my stomach, fireworks exploding in my heart, and my cheeks turning into crimson red.
