Hello my name is Chelsea Jones and I attend SpringView High School. Currently I am a upcoming sophomore. Your probably wondering why the story says Missing Honey well it involves a girl named Honey Doss.
Honey Doss is one of my good friends, I can smile with her and we were both two young black girls in the urban America. Honey is the kind of girl that smiles at you and she waves. When I first met Honey we were Freshmens at the Freshman Assembly. Back then she had braces and bigtails. I am the type of person that if I don't know you then I try to notice you.
Well I remember seeing her in my friend Alice graduation photos from middle school so I scooted down and introduced myself. She waved and said hey I am 'Honey". I thought a girl with the name Honey, now her parents where wrong for that but she loved her named.
As time went on she began changing up her looks and then all of a sudden she was extremely popular, she even tried out for the cheerleading team.
Now myself wasn't a cheerleader so I wasn't about to even go and try and be one but it was in my heart. I ended up being on Student Council so when summertime came I was there and so was she. Meaning the school of course.
On August 22nd 2012 as i am walking out i see Honey and a fellow cheerleader Jeymia.
"Hey yah'll how was practice' I said, Honey and Jeymia was still in their practice sweats and their hair looked a mess.
"It was okay" they both said, Honey starts smiling at her phone while the text messages came rolling in, she quickly typed back. Jeymia and I both gave each the look of quick girly acfions of affection.
I walked pretty close to Honey "Who you text..your boo", Honey turned away from me and giggled to a full blown smile. "Girl please" she hussed. Jeymia shook her head yes. Knew it was her boo.
"We just started dating and he is pretty nice" she started texting him back again.
It was funny how this girl Honey turned from someone who didn't date anyone all of sudden began dating, it was her first boyfriend of the year and she was enjoing it. I don't know if it was because of starting to hangout with the cheerleaders of this was in her all along but she was different and her smile was even brighter. She seemed happy so she was still my girl.
"You better not give him none" I smirked it seemed like everyone at this school was giving it up especially at this year. Girls I thought were so innocent were not any more. They started becoming so easy this year like the cookie was just some water that they could replace.
:"Cho no I am not giving that up, Still got the V and will remain with the V" Honey said that was so much confidence in her body I knew my girl was the real deal. No one was going to take hers unlike Jeymia over here.
"Proud of You then cause some people act like they can't keep it for the word, why you still out here. Yah'll got rides or something".
Honey just went back to texting while Jeymia said Yes, "Yea my mom should be coming, she is driving a white truck".
Ten minutes passed and Jeymia ride was almost here according to her dad text messages. Pretty soon we all sat on the side and waited for our rides.
"Cho you going to the Spring Dance, think I am going to bring my boyfriend then, you could meet him then for sure" asked Honey as she had begun texting away.
Her phone was going off the hook and you could tell she was more into the phone then the actually conversation but it was okau because i knew I was probably going to be seeing her tomorrow at the school.
Suddenly arose Honey mom truck, she waved me and told me "See you later, do you need a ride Cho are you good"?
Always thinking of others before herself, I grabbed my bag "No its straight, my mom should be on the way".
She gave me another smile and another wave then her I could see her mom smile from the car but she was still on the phone, my mother didn't show up till about 30 minutes later. My mother never shows up on time.
She runs on CB time, if she can get on Central time then I will feel completly fine but that is never going to happen. When I got home I started reading my books on Fundraising and putting together things for Student Council.
About a day or two later my friend Alice texted me, asked I had sent her a text saying How are you, want to go out to sandhills. Our moms where both close so it would be easy for us to go out. Even though it was Monday I figured they wouldn't care.
She texted me back and said "No, I have to go and look for Honey"!
I turned and looked back at my phone because I was completely outgasesed. What did she mean look for Honey, I had just saw Honey and she was okay she was home. I immediately responded back and asked "Why are you looking for Honey, I just saw Honey two days ago".
"Honey is missing, her mom is on the news looking for her right now".
My body became to feel so uncomfortable, and my nervous began to shake. I had to see it for myself and that was quite easy once I clicked it onto the news.
There it was her mom standing in her room saying for Honey to come home and how she missed her alot.
"Honey if your listening to this then know I love you just come home" the reporter asked her a question "I came home from work and usually Honey comes into my room and lays in bed with me because it's just me and her but when I came home I thought she was still sleeping so I went to bed then when I woke up this morning I tried to wake her up but she wasn't in her room". Her mom stopped to make a cry, a cry that went on for days it seemed. "She was home i swear, I called her father and I called everyone they have no clue where she could be. This is the only child I have and I need for you Honey to come home".
