Having known Drake was not the father of Sophia's son, Jenny knew she no longer had to restrain herself from reaching out to Drake. Her son needs a father although her son doesn't know that yet. If she were to be honest, it was she who really needs Drake.

Would she say it's out of love? Or is it merely lust? For the truth is, she longed to be in his arms again, to share the same passion, immersed with each other... briefly forgetting the world around them.

Whatever weighs more between the two, the fact remained they have a son whom they have to raise together. Not just together financially but together under one roof. That was how far she had imagined things between them once she learned Drake was free to be hers.

As Jenny stood at Drake's condo, her knees were shaking. She was unprepared. Sophia dragged her here as soon as their conversation ended. She did not even have the time to change her plain outfit.

As soon as Drake appeared before her, the first thing she blurted out was, "Is it true? You are a free man all along?"

Drake's brows furrowed in confusion, "What do you mean by that?" He then held Jenny by the elbow as he guided her towards the living room as she looked up expectantly at him.

"Are you still single?" Jenny asked further.

"I am not married so yes..." Drake answered with a slight catch in his voice.

"No girlfriend or other commitment?" Jenny further prodded.

"Nope!" Drake was already grinning by then. Somehow he had a hunch as to why Jenny was grilling him like that.

"Then can you be mine alone?" Jenny grabbed the unbuttoned part of his polo as she spoke.

"Jenny, you don't even have to ask. You already own me the first day we saw each other. You were never out of my mind since then." Drake cupped Jenny's face with his hands, staring deep into her eyes as he spoke.

"Drake, I regret not calling you then. I've been so insecure. I could have known the truth back then. I'm sorry we had to go through this... "

Drake was bewildered by the words that spilled forth from Jenny's mouth. He did not know what to make of her confession but what stood out most to him was the unspoken word behind – the acknowledgment that she also wanted to be with him back then.

Jenny tiptoed and kissed him tentatively on the mouth. Drake needed no further encouragement as he kissed her back, hungrily with all the pent-up emotions bottled through the years.

For Jenny, she felt like a matchstick which ignited at just one brush of his fingers on her skin. The searing heat followed the path of his hand as it moves up inside her blouse.

She pulled him closer to her, imitating his moves as she splayed her hand on his chest. She wanted this as much as he did. They had been starved for so long and now the raging fire of desire consumed them completely.

Jenny must have dozed off because she did not remember Drake putting up a metal chair right in front of the bedroom door.

She made a move to get up but Drake held her tighter by the waist. "What the heck is that?" Jenny asked Drake pointing to the metal chair.

"Just in case you planned on running away again," he replied in muffled tone as his head was still buried under the blanket, his mouth close to her nape, "I made sure to be awaken with the noise when you removed that chair. I have no intention of letting you go.

Jenny gave up moving away. She turned around to face him and pulled down the blanket up to his chest then she moved to lay her head on his chest.

Drake moved to accommodate her snugly against him as he tenderly brushed the strands of her hair. "So let's talk heart to heart and sincerely this time, no holds barred. No hesitation."
